I have a 20 year old gelding. He does not bite people, just the other horses. He bites for no reason. The other horses will be standing in the pasture well away from him and he will run at them for no reason and try to get as much flesh as he can. I have had him for 10 years and love him, but not when he hurts the other horses. He is a great horse in all other aspects. He can barrel race, does poles, works cattle and is wonderful with small children or other people who don't have any riding experience. Other than biting the other horses he is gentle. I understand the previous owner had the same problem. Aside from seperating him from the herd, is there anything else I can do???

I have been giving her calcium pills only about 150 mg, Is that ok? It seems to make her feel better. Also this food we are feeding is what we found agrees with her. She is now 5 years old. Any help would be very greatful. She isn't going to live much longer but I have to keep her around as long as possible. I love her!

~ we found a stray and he has been to the vet.... he had bloody poop and bad worms. The vet said that the blood was because of the worms.
~i have had two puppies die from distemper (even though they had all thier shots)
~ i started to notice this puppy twitches some when he is in a deep sleep....like after about 20 -30 mins into his sleep. The other puppies did it when they where just relaxed they didnt have to be asleep.
~ i cant tell if its nothing or if i should be concerned..i dont know anything about this puppy other than he was dumped out in the country.......he seems to be a good dog and in a matter of a week learned a ton of new stuff. I really had not planned on getting a new dog so soon but the vet asures me that keeping him is the rigth thing to do and that my house is fine and wont give him the virus and that if he had it he had it before he came to me. She also told me it would be unlikely to have 3 dogs die from it...

My cat doesn't like anybody. She hides if I ever have company and won't let anybody pet her. So I take her to the vet with a hurt paw (she was limping, got into it with my other cat). She just sits there and lets him do whatever to her. No squirming, biting or anything. Was she just afraid to do anything or did she know the vet would help her? Are some people just born with "it".

I know at six weeks and so on they need a shot. But I feel like I should be preparing to do something else. My dog stays outside in a gated home and has a dog house so I know they'll be in there. I was also told to start giving my dog milk.

I have a 6 year old beagle terrier mix...she has a large cut on her side. It first started out as a little bubble looking thing, then it became a big bald spot with dry blood on it! Should I take her to the vet?

I want to buy my sister a maine coon kitten for Christmas, she recently lost the one she had for 9 years. We live in CT and don't want to have to ship the kitten over here, but if we have to we will. Does anyone know of places selling maine coon kittens? Preferably a breeder, I'm not fond of the pet-shop deal. We want to get all the deatils figured out before Christmas and there's only 27 days left to find a kitten! Please if you know of any breeders close to CT, or any breeders at all, let me know! Thanks!!

Brand new leather couch to be delivered this week. Totally forgot about cat's bad habit of spraying on unfamiliar furniture- otherwise I wouldn't have bought leather. Does FelineAway or any other product actually work?

I live in Northern VA and have two eastern box turtles in my backyard. It's been 50-65 degrees everyday for the past couple of weeks but it's been around 35-45 degrees every night, but has been around freezing at night a couple of times.

I once had a beautiful smoky gray kitty named like that. Actually, the name had a meaning. "Gris" means gray in Spanish, and he was gray, so I thought "Griseldo" was suitable and charming.

Hi. I have a Chow Chow dog, who is 12 years old. I have noticed that when he is sleeping, his fore legs twitch for a while, then it stops. It only happens when he is sleeping, never in any other moment. His fore legs muscles never twitch when he is awake, or eating, or walking, never, ever. Just when he sleeps, and it only happens sometimes, not always. And when it happens, its just for some minutes, then it stops, it seems it happens only when he is in a state of deep slumber...or dreaming.

He can walk, run, normally, doesnt has a problem with that. He has some arthritis in his left fore leg because of his age, but has medication for that. In some occasion, I covered him with a blanket because it was cold, and the twitch stopped, but sometimes happens when its not too cold.

So this twitch seems strange, because it happens only for some minutes when he sleeps, only at sleep, and then it stops, and it doesnt happen everytime he sleeps, just occasionally.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

He is almost 16 weeks, and I feed him dry small bite puppy food. Sometimes I don't even hear him chew his food, sometimes he just swallows it. This has only happened twice now, but sometimes he eats so fast and so much at once, it causes him to throw it back up.

My questions are, How do I teach him to slow down? What can I do to help the situation? Or will he eventually learn on his own?
