Sometimes ill have a date over and my boa will be in his cage and the second they notice it, they jump back or freak out. I don't understand how a 3 foot boa curled up in a secure cage is that scary. A small dog is more dangerous than a a small boa constrictor. I ask why they are so scared and its always 'I don't know, its icky' or something stupid like that.

I have a kitten that is three months old, and two other cats, age 6 and 2. The two oldest love a little bit of catnip, but I don't know if it is safe to give a kitten. Also, what is the best age to have the kitten neutered? My other cats were already fixed when I adopted them. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Does any one know about how long the shedding process takes for a red tailed boa??? I don't know if age plays a factor so . . . she is 3 and about 2 1/2 to 3 feet long. PLEASE someone help.

She started with a bump on the back of her knee and now they are on several spots on her,You cant see scabs but you can feel the bump.Her front legs do have a little red spot that looked like a scab.She is the runt of the litter.Only one other pup has a bumpy spot on him but just one.What could this be?What should I do?I took them to the vet at 3days old and the spots ont he leg he didnt seem to concerned.Could thes be scabies or flea bites and what signs and treatment is used to cure it?

She is a 2 year old Golden Retriever. She is an inside dog. She gets brushed regularly. I'm very worried about how she gnaws on her paws until they bleed. She has several open sores on her paws.

I have a two year old little boy and he drank fish tank water (he cupped his hand and drank it like that). The filter works really well, and the tank looks clean, but he's been saying his belly hurts. The doctor says it's nothing, but he is not getting better. Maybe I'm a bit paranoid, but I'm worried. Can you get anything from drinking the water?

I'm looking for an informative website that will give me general care information for keeping toads as pets. I've been browsing all day and all I can seem to find is a lot of information on poisonous toads and fire-bellied toads, which is an aquatic toad and I need information about how to keep just a regular, common toad. I used to keep them as a pet when I was a kid and I'd like to try it again. I used to have a bunch of informative books but they're long gone (I think my mom sold them in garage sale, in fact). So if you could refer to me to a link, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! I'm also open to any information you have to offer. Thanks again.

My last two dogs were really sick all the time. My mom says that's because one (from the humane society) came from a bad home and another (from a pet shop) she thinks came from a puppy mill.

Now we're thinking about getting another dog, and she insists that we get one from a well known breeder so it doesn't get sick all the time. I, on the other hand, insist that we adopt a dog from the shelter or something.

What should we do?

ok there was this male cat that was left in the lane,and the owner move away and left it it had a very bad broken paw,must been hit by a car.so I did my best to feed it and keep it from the cold but I already had 2 cats, so i called a cat refuge that help cats,and they pic up the cat and took it to the vet now the cat has to stay in the cage for a month hoping it inprove i know it sounds cruel
but i going to have the cat with me for a month so ? is if the leg do not inprove they going to cut off the leg can the cat be ok with 3 paws

One of my larger barbs is being picked on by a newbie. Little one attacked big one and chewed up his fins. He gets around fine with his tail, albeit a little slower than his tankmates. I don't know if it's dumb to ask if they will eventually grow back?

No Goldfish or African Chichlids.
Just want to get idead of what kind of fish i could put in there to make a great community tank.

I own 5 Different tanks in one year. 1) 10 Gallons - Male betta and a Pleco. 2) 10 Gallons - Babies; Mollies, Platties, Swordtails, Guppies and Snails. 3) 20 Gallons - Guppies, Tetras, Gold Nugget Pleco and Snails. 4) 30 Gallons - Rainbows, Mollies, Platties, Swordtails, Dwarf Gourami, Angelfish, Clown Loach, Rainbow Shark and a Pleco. 5) 40 Gallons - Goldfish: 6 Orandas, Black Moor and Regular (feeder) Goldfish and a foot long Rhino Pleco. And I'm Saving for a 125 Gal. Tank Freshwater and a 55 Gal. Saltwater.
