Yes because they just don't know any better. They thinking they are helping eachother. Get them Spayed.They will stop then.

When my female was in heat she would enjoy her pillow, a lot... So, I would say yes, it is normal. I always figured, well she has needs too I guess.... not that she is fixed she doesn't do it nearly as much but still does it some.

They really can't do each other because they don't have the right equipment. They are just in need of a male dog. Cover that particular area to protect them or get them spayed.

yes, and even if they are not in heat. My female rubs herself on the carpet all the time and she is fixed. I guess it just feels good. So I have gotten her a soft teddy bear that she "wrestles" with now.
