thought it was male has very bright cheeks yellow body

I used to squabble with other answers until I either went to questions answered on Yahoo Q&A'a or the below site. Love my tiel, he is definitely male.

What lyricalprincess4 said is not true because male birds can be lutino(yellow) too.And there are female grey cockatiels.You should lift it up and look at its tail and see if you can see faint yellow lines on the underside of its tail.If it has the faint yellow lines then its female.If not then its a male.

They like to lay eggs in cabinets. Boys will hang out in "nests" too but she's probably a girl. Pick her up and look at her butt to see if you can see any egg-sized bulges in there.

yes the males are more of a gray color and the females have bright colors

you'll probably find eggs in it soon, just leave her alone
and let her play house until she tires of it
