Earlier my husband found a stray puppy and decided to pick her up. She is tiny and looks like a Pit Mix. Well he took her to the vet and got her shots (Parvo and dewormed and for fleas) in case you're freaking out. Anyway it was confirmed by the pet that she is indeed part Pit. I already have a dog in the house...he's a chihuahua mix and thinks he's the king of house. My question is...we're debating on whether to take her in or just nurture her and give her away....and part of that involves whether or not or how my dog will handle having her in the home. I'm going to talk to the Vet about this, but does anyone know from personal experience? How will it go by mixing these two breeds in the home. I'm afraid that he'll take her in but once she's grown up she might change her attitude about him.

I have a aunt and uncle that live in Talyorsville. And they have two dogs, a dalmation, and a yellow mix breed. The dal is named Sunny, and the mix is Duken. Duken has been on this huge metel chain for about all his life. And about 2 years stright without being let off. Sunny has been getting aggresive, and is put in a dog lot all the time. They are extremeley skinny, and there ribs have been showing for a good while. He says he is going to take them to the vet but he never does. There water has green stuff in it and everytime I go out there, when they are gone to work I feed the dogs about three times, I know thats alot but they eat everymeal in the time it would take a single dog to eat one meal. I also clean there water, and feed them treats. I also acctulley play, or show some effection towards them. I feel more sorry for Duken, and I I wish I could take him home. Oh, another thing is these dogs hav NO protecton, no dog house, blankets, NOTHING. they sleep in snow and ran.
Advice?

It is one of the harshest sentences I've seen - YEAH! He got 11 years - one year for every pit bull that died in his fighting ring.
I thought I would share. Here is the article

My dogs shed big time and up until now we've been buying the stuff from Pet Smart (not sure what it's called as I haven't bought it in a while) that you mix with your dogs/cats food. It's oil based. It really controlled the shedding but it's SO EXPENSIVE. $26/bottle that lasts like a week. A friend told me to add olive oil to their food. I wanted to get some more opinions and see what has worked for others. Thanks alot!

Hi. In the spring, I am putting my small pond goldfish into the pond, but I have nothing to do with the tank. It has an excellent bio-wheel filter... I just HAD to add that... anyways, I want it to be a tropical tank. The fish need to be:

1. Less than 4 inches when full-grown
2. Hardy
3. Not expensive
4. Not agressive
5. Tropical or Coldwater (NO saltwater!)

Thank you...

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

1: I have a Chihuahua who is kinda mean. He snips at people a lot. He is seven years old and gets really cranky. He won't go outside to use the potty sometimes and he doesn't like to be put on the leash. I don't know what to do. I want him to behave w/o biting, growling. I need him to be cooperative. What do I do?

she has tablets the vet has given her and he said it was early stages. as i want her to stay with me as long as possible i would love any suggestions that could help keep her as pain free as possible for as long as i can. Or would anyone know a website for cancer in animals, alternative cures, pain management in animals. Anything along these lines would be appreciated.

One of my cats recently ran away. Now, the other one is REALLY clingy, follows me everywhere and will look at me and "meow" real loud. Is this her way of missing our other cat? They were never close before...she hated it when we first got him but after 3 years she sort of "put up" with him. Now this behavior since he's been gone. Can anyone please tell me what's going on? I'd sure appreciate it."

I was just wondering what you need to do to open a pet store. Like what licenses do you need and other stuff... I am looking into that... and I think I'll mostly sell only rodents as I have more knowledge of how to take care of them then say birds or reptiles or fish other then Betas... I figure this wont happen for a few years... but I just wanna know ^^ cause I'm curious... thanks :)

Ok, I know HOW to do it correctly, the problem is that my dog is terrified of the nail clippers.

She runs and hides and when I get her out and try to restrain her so I can do it, she'll struggle to the point where it's not safe to attempt it.

I have clipped the nails of many, many cats and dogs and clip my cat's nails with no problem, but I am at a loss at to how to train her not to be afraid.

The nails on her back legs are the perfect length because they get filed down on the cement when we go for walks, but I've had no such luck with her front nails.

Please help. I don't want to spend 20 bucks every month for the vet to do it when I could do it myself.

My cat knocked down a bottle of liquid foundation and it broke and spilled on the floor. Luckily he didn't hurt himself. He is black and white and the white part of his chest is now the color of my face. I tried washing it off, but although it doesn't feel like there is make up on his fur, it is still discolored. Any suggestions on how to get it off?

She is about a year old...and it doesn't happen everytime she eats, but she has been doing it off and on since we got her at about 3 months old.

The food (dry food) comes out looking basically the same way as it went in. She is gaining weight in what I would consider healthy.

We got her from the shelter and were advised that she had been found in an abandoned apartment and they suspected that she had been there for almost a month. She had eated a budgie that had also been abandoned.

We always chalked the vomiting up to her having been without food for that time, that when she ate, she would eat far beyond her hunger and assumed that she would grow out of it. She has not.

Any other suggestions as to why?? We took her for her initial vet visit when we got her and the vet agreed with our theroy...but I assumed it would be over by now...

Ok, well im not sure what those thingies are called, that you attach to your faucet and then it comes out "purified" that makes it good for you to drink. Well anyway, I wanted to know if it is ok for a betta?

It was just a small knot to begin with, but it has been growing over the past year or so. Now it is about the size of a marble and it looks like a bluberry and has started leaking blood or something. My dad says to pop it and drain it, but I'm worried about it hurting and getting infected. We can't afford to take her to a vet, does anyone have any advice on what to do?

I have a 4 year old pekingese. She has been limping off/on for 2 weeks now. She is 12lbs, tiny, I think. Last year, she was limping a bit, but she would always get better, but not this time. I am concerned and will take her to doc soon, but thought i'd ask if anyone else has experienced something like this. She still likes to play with my other dog and shows no signs of pain. There is no swelling, long nails, or burrs in her paw. I feel so bad.
