No. You need to treat the infection with anti-biotics. Sometimes even feeding a special food that reduces the crystals in the urine will your cats infection go away sooner.

I'm afraid it will not go away on its own; it will only worsen, and as others have mentioned, can be fatal to your kitty. You need to treat it with antibiotics. Once the cat has been treated, you can discuss various prevention methods with your vet. To give you an idea of cost at my clinic your charges would be about: 40$ for exam, 28-40$ urinalysis and 15-25$ for antibiotics. Call around too because prices can vary, but if you've been with the same vet for a while, you should go back to him/her as vets are more willing to offer payment plans and discounts to long-term clients.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your cat.

Hi there...they cannot go away on their own without the aid of antibiotics. Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) can turn serious if left untreated. The infection can travel to the kidneys and when they are infected they go into failure and is fatal for your cat. If finances are of concern some vets will be able to offer a payment plan if you discuss this with them.

Do your bladder infections go away on their own? No!!!! she/he will need to see a vet. If you leave it without medication it could travel to the kidneys potentionally killing the cat. I suggest to take her/him to a vet as soon as possible.

Would you wait for yours to go away on it's own??

It may but that is cruel. Cancer may go away on its own untreated, or it may kill you.
