It is one of the harshest sentences I've seen - YEAH! He got 11 years - one year for every pit bull that died in his fighting ring.

I agree with you about Kellie...dont' worry some people don't read everything before they speak. I am soooo happy that he got that harsh of a sentence...it should be harder!!

I did not hear about it until now but I say it is great. People like him are the reason the average person is afraid and dare I say hate Pitbulls, Rottweiler, American Bull Dog, German Shepherds,etc and it is also the reason the government is trying to ban certain breeds of dog (my breed included) but what the government and the average person does not realize it is not the dog that cause the problems, it is the owners who train their dogs to be aggressive or the people who buy dogs without researching the breed and then they do not train these dogs that cause the problems.I think if all people who own dogs only to fight them or all people who buy dogs and do not put any time or training into their dogs were all imposed heavy sentences when something bad happened or if they were caught fighting the dogs alot of problems with the dog issues would end.

He deserves a lot more than 11 years. Maybe we should tie him up with little food and water. That's the saddest thing ever, all those dogs that had to be put down because of behavior problems. He deserves every minutes he spends in jail for what he did to those poor innocent dogs.

That's great. On one of the animal cops shows on animal planet, they busted up a dog fighting ring and the guy in charge of it got 25 years.
I doubt they will serve their entire time, but it's a start. Hopefully, with such stiff punishments, people will start realizing that it isn't ok to mistreat animals.

Karma is kicking that guy's @ss, he deserves every bit of it. I have no tolerance for people who abuse animals.

No I did not hear about that, but its great that he got that!!!I hope it teaches him a listen & he realizes how stupid, and cruel he was!! :) Thats great news, IMO.

If you think that's unfair, you're very naive.
Abusing animals is often a precursor to abusing humans and it also causes the animals to be so violent they can't be adopted even if they do survive. Would you be more accepting of this sentence if one of your neighbor's angry, abused, starved pitbulls attacked you on the street? It's not good for anyone involved...
