Hi. In the spring, I am putting my small pond goldfish into the pond, but I have nothing to do with the tank. It has an excellent bio-wheel filter... I just HAD to add that... anyways, I want it to be a tropical tank. The fish need to be:

1. Less than 4 inches when full-grown
2. Hardy
3. Not expensive
4. Not agressive
5. Tropical or Coldwater (NO saltwater!)

Thank you...

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I like balloon mollies, too. The only thing is that they are prone to swim bladder disease. All of mine died from it.

How big is your tank?

-white/black skirt tetras
-gouramis (dwarf or pearl, others are aggressive)
-betta
-white cloud mountain minnows
-rosy barbs
-cories
-cardinal tetras (not very hardy but really pretty)
-black neon tetras
-rummy nose tetras
-rasboras

You have a lot of choices depending on the size of your tank. Have fun figuring out what to put in it!

I'd recommend Platys.

Easy going fish, happy in quite a wide range of temperature & seem quite happy in a new tank (once it's cycled).

There's loads of colours available &, if you've got some weed or cover for the little ones, quite easy to breed. They're livebearers & generally inexpensive. They seem quite inquisitive & always come charging up the front of the tank when you go near it ... probably think they're going to be fed!

I like larger tetras, I have serpae tetras and they are really fun when you feed them, they dart around and are fun to watch swim.

I WOULD RECOMMEND MOLLIES. THEY HAVE SO MANY TYPES AND THEY ARE EASY TO TAKE CARE OF. MY FAVORITE TYPE ARE THE BALLOON BELLY MOLLIES, THEY ARE SO CUTE.
