My parakeet has diarrhea and seems very tired. I bought some pills to put in his water and am trying to get him to drink it. His poop isnt as watery now but is still discolored. What are the chances he survives if i dont take him to a vet and he doesnt really drink the water? can he get over it on his own?

It doesn't look like typical acne. These develop as bumps like pimples with out pus the fur around these falls out they seep a little and crust over and eventually go away. This time she has more than I have ever seen and several are grouped together causing larger areas of hair loss and they seem to be uncomfortable to her. I can't take her to the vet due to finances. It is not like acne as there is no black debris and acne is usually on the chin. I have researched the web and haven't found any pictures of anything like it. If it was just a bump or two I wouldn't worry but there are at least twelve bumps and most spots are two or more together. Where she has scratched they are raw. Is there any type of ointment that will speed healing? I have heard that Phisohex can be used on cat acne but since I am not sure what this is I didn't want to irritate her skin anymore. Any advise would be appreciated.

and she has had it for about 4 weeks(ever since i adopted her). The runny poop is also a yellow/tan color. She is 1.5 years old and I have tried many different things to try to get her poop to become normal:

1. pills from vet
2. perscription canned dog food
3. oatmeal with food
4. beef and rice
5. less food more often during the day

she is also underweight and it is probibly becuase she can't hold food in her system.

Please give me any suggestions beucase if she doesn't get better soon I have to get rid of her.

I had my silver persian AVID microchipped for the sole reason that if she were ever lost or stolden I would be able to track her. September 2005 during a move from Peccole Ranch Las Vegas NV, My beloved Lucy wandered off and I never saw her again. She is exstemly friendly and would cuddle up to any one. I miss her so much. Anyway back to the microchip thing, after losing her I noticed that the veterinary hospitals/clinics, DO NOT scan your pet when they are taken in for check ups/shots/spay/neuter ect. Why have a system if it is not going to be utelized. The vet office people just assume that that is your pet and DO NOT scan them. I believe that I would have my lucy sitting in MY lap today and not the person how took her.

Her chip number is 044037628 if you picked up a stray purebred silver/grey persian from the Peccole Ranch area, take her to be chipped at any vet hospital near you.

Why have a system if the professionals that care for our animales DON"T USE IT

Ok, I have a wonderful Black Lab named Zoey.
She is 9 month's old. I love her to death, but suddley her attudite is changing. Everytime I go out there, I feel like I'm with a totally different dog.
She is getting really aggresive. Espically towards our other two smaller dogs. We've had her for 9 months, ever since she was a little 7 week old pup. She used to get along with the other two female dogs great, they would run around and play. But just today, she pinned the smaller one down and tried to kill her! This was no regular play, we heard Nibbles, the 12 year old Boston Terrier yelping and ran out there to find Zoey pinning her down!
She has been spayed, a couple of months ago and she resumed to her normal self.
She is also getting really spitful. Everytime we go somewhere we come home to find something else destroyed. She has ton's TONS of play toys, and things to keep her occupied. We live back in the woods, so she is never board.
Please, help us! I

Isn't it funny how cats are fascinated by absolutely nothing? Mine love to watch me shower, love milk jug rings and tin foil balls, even the shadow from the ceiling fan! What fascinates your cat?

I have two female cats, one black and white(salem), and the other solid black (sabina). Salem is my baby, anyway I recently brought home a Male Kitten, someone had thrown out at the park, I bathed him and fed him and I even introduced him to the other cats, and at first the females were really friendly but the longer he stayed, Salem started Hissing at me and clawing at me. So I was wondering if all cats are like that? Just Naturally Jealous and Grudge holders.

Okay. I am getting a goldfish pond (50-100 gallons) in the spring. I have a small goldfish tank with three small (1 3/4-3 inch) goldfish in it... answer questions PLEEEZ?

1.) Can small pond goldfish (5-7 inches) live with goldfish 3-5 inches long?
2.) By early spring, do you think that if I feed my goldfish enough (not too much) and take great care of them and if they grow, can they possibly be in a pond?
3.) Which of my goldfish do you think COULD be in a pond? I have a goldfish that was born IN a pond and is a baby now, he'll definitely be in the pond in the spring, and a shubunkin, that is about 3 inches now, she might go in the pond (can she? I'm asking YOU,) and one that is about 1 3/4 in., do you think he'll be able to be in the pond? Or should I see how he grows over the winter, and if he doesn't grow, should I move him over to an even bigger tank and move him into the pond in the spring of 2008...?
4.) What is the minimum size a goldfish should be when I move 1 in pond?

On my block there are many homes with Jewish families; now when I walk without my pup they are all fine. As soon as my year old Golden is next to me they bolt as if there is a plague comming, I have noticed it with other people that have dogs of different sizes on my block and in other areas I am just confused as to why. I can understand that some may have had a bad experiance but not all of them.

I was told my puppy was a full breed American staffordshire terrier puppy, by the guy who gave me the dog. Know he is giving me the run around with the papers. Frist, he said he sent the papers in, then, he said he didn't get them in on time. I told him he wont get the money untill I see real papers for her. What should I do? What web site can I go to? I need to know if she is a real pitbull or not!!

Lets ban pit bulls, lets ban masstiffs lets ban what ever large dog people as decided to hate this year. Banning breeds of dogs will do no good till we make the owners live up to thier responalblies as pet owners. 90% of all dog attackeds are because some stupid a$$ did not train or abused or straved or chained or!!!!!!! and people loss thier loved family pets. Remenber all of you who want to banned a breed, the breed of dog you own is one bite away of someone wanting to ban it.
