Hiya Im Nearly 16 And Have Always Wanted A Pet Of My Own Ever Since My 2 Rabits Died When I Was 8 :( And Ive decided I'd Like A Rat. Because I've Never Had One Before Would It Be Better To Get 1 Rat Or 2? Because 2 Would Keep Each Other Company When I'm At School, But Coz Iv'e Never Had One Would 2 Be To Much To Handle?

My 6 month old Sheltie had her first class yesterday. I was wanting to know how long it is before you start competing on average? She's a pretty smart dog and will be competing in Novice Obedience in December. Also, what is a good book to read on beginner agility?

I was reading some articles on the internet and they said that the dog breed should match your lifestyle. So I wanted some help, in choosing the right breed. Heres a bit about my lifestye...

I want a medium-large breed that I can take the dog on a long walk and maybe a romp free every day. I work for 6 hours everyday(school hours) but I can come home at lunch to feed the dog and let it out to relieve itself. I hope that's enough information to help you answer my question.

Thanx for your help...

This morning my 7 year old son found a turtle in our yard. Well, I do not know a thing about taking care of a turtle. And of course he wants to keep it. What can I keep the turtle in, what does he eat? Basically how do I take care of the turtle? My son would be devastated if I did not let him keep it. Please help me!

They used to be light grey, and now look reddish. I've seen pictures of adult Yellow Rat Snakes with the reddish eyes, but I can find nothing to say whether they change from grey to red as they get older.

I am getting a male maltipoo in a couple of weeks and I know I don't need to have him neutered right away but I have always heard that if you get the procedure done it will calm the dog down. Is that true

I have a 29gal... currently I have the filter that comes with the kit... a regular power filter 300gph, with the carbon and fiber.....

Soon I will get a 400gph penguin bio-wheel filter and I will probably leave both running.....

Someone told me that with those filters I wont need an air pump in my tank to oxigenate the water.....

Is this true?

I bought my female mouse from a pet store just over a week ago. When I bought her she was from a tank with 15 other mice. All female supposively! She was quite skinny when I bought her but now she is getting fat, Not chubby all over, but a very round hard tummy. I dont know why she is getting bigger everyday. She isnt running on her wheel and she sleeps constantly! Is she sick, or pregnant?? I wish I knew so I can feed her more protein and get her perpared for the birth. If anyone has any advice, ideas or opinions they would really help me! Thanx!
