i have only just brought it home and put her in her new cage but she keeps making a crying sound.help!!!!

She's probably just scared and trying to adjust to a new situation.

She probably came from a cage that had other hamsters in it. Leave her alone for a little while maybe give her a carrot and she will calm down in a little while. It's probably a little bit of loneliness along with the shock of a new environment.

Leave her alone for a bit and give her some toilet paper to shred and a hiding house, some food and water. cover part of the cage with a sheet, turn off the lights, and be very quite for a day or two.

Maybe she talking to you! I had a hamster, but I don't ever remember her making noises. Your hamster is probably scared or lonely. Just talk to her, pet her, and love her!

Well for all you know, she was in a relationship and when you adopted her she had to leave poor Hans and all his affections, if I were you, I'd go and find Hans and bring him home.
