She's been fine ever since we got her in july, when she was 2 1/2 months old, but now she's been doing some weird stuff. Now she keeps lying down on her side and meowing even if we're not close or visible to her. She's also been licking herself alot more. We opened up the basement to her (We cleaned it very well first, and she only goes in a small part of it anyway) 2 weeks ago, but it only started around 2 days ago and we thought it was probably just some new thing. But she's doing it so much we think it might be some type of sickness. We only let her outside once and she had a flea and other insect collar for the whole week. We also took her for her vet appointment a little bit after that and all of the disease tests were negative. Is she sick, and if she is, what can we do to help her? thanks in advance for the help.

I have a horse on trial and he failed the vetting. When I told the owner the news she told me that she heard that even a young healthy horse will come up limping after a flexion test. does anyone know about this?

In your opinion.

I see people doing this and all I can do is shake my head and keep myself from running up to them and knocking them upside the head like they just did to the dog and see how the like it.

Why do people think that this is an effective way to train? In my opinion all it does is make a fearful dog that will most likely end up mauling someone one day due to that fear.

I have had a personal experience with a dog "trained" that way and it landed me in the hospital for a week. I doubt it would have been as bad if I wasn't only 4, but still.

i am a teenager, still in school, my mom owns a german shepherd, i want a small dog to bring with me to my little brother's soccer games so it also needs to be easy to handle (maybe a lap dog). it also needs to be nice to strangers and other dogs. which breed best fits this description?

if you apodt a dog from a shelter does that mean it's yours or does it stay at the shelter and you just visit it?

When we first got her, we took her to the vet, and they said they gave her a tiny bit of that Advantage stuff, because she's so young. Anyone else have any other ideas? No bath's, we did that once, and that was enough. Thanx!

We have two kittens, from the same litter.

One is small, muscular, athletic and 'clued on'

One is massive, gangly, terrible gross-motor skills and just seems to be 'lacking' in the though department (I love her to bits though)

Is it possible she may have incurred brain damage? They were both thrown into a drain at birth, so maybe she suffered loss of oxygen?

This is a serious question, because as they are becoming older the difference between them is now more noticeable!

He usually sneezes every now and then but yesterday is was more than normal. He is still playing and being hyper as normal with his sister and he is eating as normal (he's a little pig!!!). Everything is normal except for the sneezing. I, myself was sneezing alot myself yesterday with hayfever and had an itchy rash with it. Maybe he was going out in sympathy with me, LOL!!! Does anyone else's cat do that every now and then? He seems okay today

I gave an update to folks about a cat, and one answer said I should get off here and work to make money to pay the vet bill. Well, I work 48 to 60 hours a week. And I sometimes would like to work more and get more money. However, my grandchildren also need my attention. Walk in my shoes before you judge. Thank you to all others.

Hi my dog has been limping lately, sometimes after we get back from the off leash dog park, he sits down but then has A LOT of difficulty in getting up. This happened before, when he walked he would yelp and fall down. Is there a vet out there, on here that can help me? How much will it cost to get an x-ray?!?!?!

His name is Peanut, and is very picky of what he eats. I'm feeding him Purina Beneful which he's eating alot more than the others, but still is not very much. I've already tried many others but he prefers table scraps which I know is not very healthy and pleasant for his tummy. Please help with any suggestions. He seems to be getting a little thin. Thanx!

My family and I want to adopt a dog from the humane society, but we dont know whats the best kind of dog for us. we live in a smallish- medium-sized -ish home with two stories and a medium-sized backyard. could we get a big dog? or should we get a small dog, or how much does size really matter?
