Ok heres my situation! I have three dogs that i love more than words! Milo a Chihuahua, Bud a German shepard mix, and Maggie a Dachshund mix! They all respect me listen to and are VERY sweet! Except Maggie doesnt think of me as "pack leader" Bud and Milo listen and do what i say but maggie does NOT listen! She has never bitten me or even tried to!I think she thinks that she owns me, because shes very protective of me towards my other dogs! But when i try to dicipline her (because she is very ruff with my other dogs) she just like ignores me! I watch the dog Whisperer a lot! He says to pin her down to show her who's in charge! I can do it even with my 65 lb dog but she just lays there and then when i let her up she goes right back to doing what she was doing before the correction! I dont know what to do with her please help! How can i make her listen to me?

Here's my newest baby! We've had him almost 3 months now and still dont have a SET name for him! We call him doggy! I like Milo and my daughter likes Bandit! What would you name him if he were yours?

My 9 month old african grey's beak always looks like its cracking and peeling..i dont know if this is normal or not. I asked the breeder because im so paranoid and he said that nothing was wrong. Then when i took him to get his wings trimmed the woman said he was really healthy. I dont know anyone else with a parrot so hopefully someone on here can help. thanks!

It has been two months and the older kitty still will not come out of the extra bedroom that I have prepared everything for her. She is so good, loving and passionte but she is just old. How do I combine her with my other animals? I have a dog and another cat (2 years old).

My dog is about 10years old, and lately( for a couple months) all he does is stay under a bed all day. He used to always be out around me and people, but now he just goes under the bed. He seems to be healthy except for always scratching, but I am afraid he might be dieng or something since of the bed thing.

I see around 1 flea here and there when I use the brush. I vaccum every second day. Is this regimen enough? (my cat is an indoor cat but there are some fleas in this apartment due to te past tenants). I also gave my cat some flea shampoos but they don't seem to work so well.

Have you ever used lint tape on your cat? It seems to work well for mine.. but I'm wondering if it's safe and if the glue from the tape is dangerous?

I've spent the past few months setting up a new 20 gallon saltwater tank. I thought I'd done everything right. I measured the specific gravity every few days, kept the temperature right, took regular Ph, nitrate, nitride and ammonia tests. I added live sand first, ages ago now, and let it run for a few weeks with just that. Then I started adding liverock, about 10lbs of it. I let it run with that for about three weeks, doing regular tests to make sure everything was in order. Feather dusters sprouted out pretty soon, along with other random tiny living things. I thought it was safe to add a fish, a hardy one, to help. I picked out a healthy-looking tank-bred Ocellaris clownfish, yesterday. Today I came home and couldn't see him. After searching I found him, dead, in a gap in the rocks. There are no traces of harm on him, he looked healthy. I had noticed some Aiptasia, two of them to the best of my knowledge, and I removed them at once. Why did he die? :(

Hey. I have a 2 yr old toy poodle and she gets aggressive any time we try to take something away from her that she finds on the floor. She has 5 toys and she seems fine with them, but she will seek ou t anything else she can find on the floor and then if you approach her, she will charge at you and bite. She's bit my husband like six times! What should I do? She has been doing it for like a year and a half. As much as I love her, I am sometimes afraid to be around her. I want to get another dog, but I can tell my husband is really attatched to her. However, he said that many times he's wanted to place her in a different home, but he never suggested it because he thought it would be too much for me, but now it looks like it may be too much for him.What should I do? She terrifies me sometimes! She cornered me into a closet the other day! She was coming at me, teeth showing, barking and trying to bite at me--she had even dropped the sock she had to come back and try to bite me.

for the majority of the time I want to feed my cat the best food ever. I heard raw meat is the best. my cat is around 6 months old, male orange domestic short hair tabby.I want my cat to live to be the oldest cat ever so nutrition is the best thing I can do for him. I heard the longest was 36 years old. I wonder if I can beat the record, jus because I'd die to ever see my baby go:-(

I'm having my kitten spayed next month, can anyone who has been through this tell me what to expect. She's only been to the vet once since I've gotten her so I haven't had a chance to ask him. Will she have to stay overnight?? Will I need to take a day off to stay with her (not an issue if I have to)? How will she act when she gets home?
