The neighbors use an air horn to scare them off. Is there a quieter way to get rid of the birds. I'm about to go and tell them a thing or two. And that is saying it gently

I noticed the last few times that my 11 month old male Lab has went "potty" he is urinating blood. He drinks plenty of water and is acting just fine. Can anyone tell me why he is bleeding and what I can do? Or should I just get him to the vet?

In a few weeks my cat will be going under the knife, so to speak. I'm just curious if he'll feel different after the operation. Obviously we can't ask our cats this... but it's made me wonder if they wake up and kind of freak out because something has "changed." Do cat's somehow know that a vital part of their anatomy is now gone; are they aware that something has been taken away?

She's a Siamese indoor cat, her eyes were blue, now they're brown. She's over 10yrs old.
For the last few days she's been eating more, and using the litter box more.
I'm calling the Vet in the morning, but I'd like to get some idea on what to expect.

I know that there are other questions like this one, but all of the stories have been different, so here goes:
I got my female kitten (she is 7 months old) spayed last Monday. We picked her up at the vet on Tuesday, and the vet told me to put her on paper litter. On Tuesday night she went pee on my roommates bed. Then on Wednesday morning she went pee on my bed. I called the vet and they told me to switch her litter back. I did, and untill tonight (Monday) she has been fine.

She went pee on my roommates bed again (wich isn't helping her to like my cat any...). Is this because she can still smell the urine? (I washed her sheets and everything including the mattress pad...) I don't think that my cat has been doing it to be mean, because she is always nice to my roommate... I really don't know what to do.

I guess what I really need is to call the vet and get that stuff to remove pet smells.

Any suggestions?

I just got a 6 mo shih tzu, and i'm having a horrible time house training it.

I am attempting to litter box train since I live in an apartment I don't have access to a nearby outside area. However, the dog will not go to the bathroom in the litter box. I've tried everything.

Yesterday, after he spent 7 hours in his kennel I put him in the box to go to the bathroom. I sat with him for 3 and a half hours waiting for him to go. The entire time I could tell he was struggling to hold it. Finally I put him back in his kennel so I could take a break...and he went to the bathroom in his kennel! I thought dogs don't like to go to the bathroom where they sleep =/

Today, I sat with the dog for another 4 hours..watching him struggle to hold it. Finally he sprinted past me and ran to the door. Once at the door he went to the bathroom.
I know his old owner trained him to go outside..but there is no way I can take him the 15 min walk to the park everytime he needs to go!
Advice please!

I want to buy a parakeet, but do they have them at petsmart? Also, if they do, is it possiable/likley they would come with parasites or illnesses?

Also, know of any good about bird websites?

Thanks!
