All baby iguans have some bumps or lumps on their heads, the first one is on the tip of the nose and is the egg tooth that they used to hatch with. On the head there is the first signs of his comb of scales that go all the way down the back. On his face wil be small lumps and bums that will later be the large facial plates that the adults develop. If these bumps start to look abnormal or iflammed then he might have an infection. Make sure that he gets 12 to 14 hours of UV light every day and he gets a good ballanced diet with plenty of calcium and he should grow to be a wonderful 6 foot lizard in abouit 5 years.

First of all you should take your iggy to a reptile vet. Then go to do research on how to take care of them. I've had iguanas for 13 yrs now. Here is a great group for you, they can help you with about anything you need to know. www.BabyIguana@yahoogroups.com They also have other good links there.
Here is another link for the care of you iguana. www.anapsid.org
Please do the research and do the right thing for your iguana.

Hi there;

Congrats on the baby iggy! :)
The "bumps" as you call them are not normal for a baby iggy. It usually is a sign of MBD or metabolic bone disease.
Please take your iggy to a herp vet ASAP!
MBD is due to a poor diet and to poor habitat/environment.
Iggies NEED, and I can not stress more strongly NEEEEEDDD! UVA/UVB lighting plus a source of bottom heat to properly metabolize the calcium from the vegetable diets.
Please talk to a vet that specializes in herps about the proper care for iguanas. Your iggy will probably need calcium shots.
Good luck to you and your darling pet.
