Momma pit does not accept her puppies, Or maybe Momma thinks that their is something wrong with them. Either way, If you decide to breed her again your going to have to take those puppies away and hand raise them. If your going to breed and be serious about it, I would go study hand raising puppies.Good Luck

That's why I am so uncertain about the pit bulls. I think they have been so inbred that they don't even know what to do with their own. It's not their fault. You must contact animal control to make sure that they don't do any harm to a little person or any human. I know it's hard but you have to remember that these dogs have been inbred and that is how they came to be. We, as humans, did this and created this breed. I feel so sorry for them. Don't let anything more happen to them, for them, etc. I am a dog (animal lover of all kind) so this answer doesn't come easy for me.

I would leave them all in the basement and not move them back and forth. This could upset the mother, or the pups could catch cold. I would also make sure that the bed or box that mom and pups are in is sitting on a wooden pallet or several 2 by 4s. My brother 's dog's pups got diarrhea from being on the concrete floor.

If she's done that with two litters, the best idea is to get her spaid or be in the room with her if she breeds again. Take the puppies away and hand-raise them.
If she doesn't feel safe or feels that the puppies will have problems later, she'll eat them. It's something to worry about, all right.
Unless you're serious about breeding her, I'd get her spaid. It's best for all involved. If you ARE serious, hand raise them after their born.
Good luck.

It may mean that there's something wrong with them. Next time you breed her, take her to the vet when she goes into labor so they can check them out as soon as they are born. If she did it with two litters though chances are that she is the problem not them. She may just be confused. They can try giving the puppies to her after she is competely done giving birth to see if she will do what she is supposed to with them.

this is actually terrible keep the mother away from her pups and every day make te pups a formula and feed them that way then when the pups are old enough sell them or send them to a pound....she might also feel insecure if this is so be with her all the time next time she gives birth be there next to her and help her out

Did you stay in the room with her? Some bitches will just do this for no reason. That's why you need to sleep, eat, practically brush your teeth in the same room as your bitches when they have a litter. So many people don't know to do this but continue to breed....blows me away.

Bladedogs is correct. They will do this when they don't feel safe, or feel threatened..I think that if the male is out of the picture when she has them, she would feel more secure..
However, if she has done this twice, it would be a waste of her health and your expectations to breed her again..She has some real insecurity issues..

Have her spayed. She will probably do this with each litter she has. Some dogs are not meant to be mothers, just like some women are not.

Dogs must feel safe when they have their babies. You should have been their to prevent this from happening. My dogs have always let me help them when giving birth. You should do the same.
Best to have her spayed
