not onto the floor just up out and back in

its so weird

i have a lid he jumps into it and if the lids open then he really goes at it.

they are jumpers for sure, mine use to knock my hood right into the floor they are always hungry seemed like mine always was just trying to get my attention i had a large black shark in with them and they were always throwin down but never jumped then,only in my presence.

yes it is natural for an Oscar to do this just as they also like to decorate thier homes by moving rocks and plants in your tank my Oscar jumps too and he almost knocks the lid off especially during feeding he will jump up and take the food out of my hand

He doesn't want to go on anymore, Hes suicidal and wants to end it all. But seriously it is natural for this fish to jump, my Oscar jumped out of the tank in the middle of the night and died so be careful..

oscars jump alot just get a clear plastic lid or something to put over the opening u never know when he wont go back in ....

Its in their nature to jump. Lost a few when we first began the hobby.
You need a top for your tank.
