If a teddy bear hamster has been alone for 8 months in his/her cage(good size cage) and has been doing great and has no problems being alone, could i add another teddy bear hamster with her/him? If so, which kind and boy/girl? If you know, please give a good description of the hamster that my teddy bear hamster could go with or give a website address =) thankyou --- ps. my hamster is a girl.

I was thinking of a UHaul truck. But where do the cats go? Front (drivers cabin) or back? If in the back - is there some good solution to this, like a temporary cage? I wouldn't want them to be scared or hurt themselves.

I adopted a lab/pit bull mix from our local animal shelter. I was so excited to tell everyone because it has been three years since my dog passed away and I finally felt ready to have another one.

EVERYONE that found out she was pit bull mix has been telling me awful stories about this breed. They also tried to convince me that I should not have this dog around my kids.

Seriously though she is a baby. She has showed no signs of aggresion toward me or my children. She seems just happy to have a home. She does need some work on obeidence and walking on a leash but other than that she is a doll.

Can anyone tell me about their expierence with this kind of dog?

I just got a pug that is 2 years old and have noticed she has some leackage. I am taking her to the vet Thursday but they suggested I might need to put her on a high fiber diet. DOes anyone know of a dog food that is high in fiber?

Either a commercial preparation, or does anybody have a good recipe?

The wet cat food in pouches -- regardless of brand -- is only partially enjoyed; the 'gravy' eagerly lapped up, but the meat tends to go somewhat ignored. (Not so with more mushy varieties in tins, but we even finick about that sometimes.) So...

Suggestions for a good brand that could be found at pet stores in Canada appreciated. I know I've seen the stuff for dogs, but have yet to find any made for cats. If you have a recipe, please include the source, and your comments on it.

I have a 14 year old dalmation who doesn't really like other dogs since she's had puppies a couple years ago. Well we just got a miniture pincher who is 7 and yippy. How do we get our old dalmation to get used to this new dog?

I have a 6 month old male kitten that sucks on a blanket for comfort, and lately he has been rubbing his back legs together when he sucks. I discovered that his little thing is out and squirts when he does that. Is this normal?! ( how can we stop it?)

My baby turtle has started acting weird. He has like brown residue under his mouth and he tends to like puff out air. He doesnt really go into the water and if he does he makes sure he is on rocks so his head is out of the water. He tends to only stay under water for a little amount of time and then he is out of the water again. When he is on the rocks...where he is most of the time now.. he tends to close his eyess and lay his head on the rocks and stretch one leg out. I am really worried and i would really like to know whats wrong with him. So if anyone knows anythin I woudl really appreciate it. Thank You

i have had my cat for 18 months but in the last few days has developed a fear of walking on the carpet. it is not a new carpet and there is no obvious reason for this. if you put him on the carpet he freezes then runs as quick as he can until he is off the carpet.

Help please.....I knew my boyfriend didn't like cats but I was hoping after we moved in tongether and after lots of begging he would be ok with us getting a kitten but he is so against it!!!! Do you have any suggestions on how I can convince him on getting a cat??
