I dont see anything wrong with a pet pig if your jewish. If you love your pig then who cares? don't care about what others think.

I've seen comments that there's a prohibition against touching a pig, so that one would wear gloves with a football. HOWEVER, I assume this is only for the quite religious who use rules of a very wide wall around Torah. By that I mean the ones who interpret milk & meat separateness to include the nth degree of separation such as keeping two dishwashers... And follow the clothing material commandments (which I don't know) So, unless you're in that category, I'd think it's fine. However, I'm not a Rabbi & don't have specific knowledge. Pigs are supposed to make great pets and be very smart. I've known a few people with one over the years.

Pigs aren't holy in the Jewish culture :)

There is no reason not to keep a pet pig. Dogs and cats aren't kosher either.

as an ordained minister i would say absolutly not. pigs are just wrong to eat in your religion, but so are dogs and cats. you wouldn't ask this question about one of those types of animals would you?

As long as you don't eat the cloven-hoofed animal it should be okay.

as long as you do not eat it should be ok, as long as you have enough room and are able to care for it that is.
