why do you have a dog that is only 4 weeks old?? nothing good can come from taking a pup from its dam too early. usually wind up with a dog that has no concept of bite inhibition. good luck with this pup.

I have been a vet tech for 20yrs...1st take in a small sample of fresh poop..in a baggie..and have it tested for parasites..90% of pups are born with some type of worms...start shots at 6-8 weeks...no visits to parks, etc not even front yard..there are viruses that can be picked up by just being where another dog has been...feed a nice puppy food , even puppy chow is good...maybe wet it a lil...it's hard to believe the pup is 4 weeks old...they normally aren't weaned from the mom till 5-7 weeks....good luck...they get shots every 3 weeks until 18-20 weeks...also you can start a flea and heartworm preventative at 7 weeks...they are still under the mom's immunity till 6 weeks...

Friendly Hello, I believe your breeder is lacking responsible breeding ethnics. As that little puppy should not leave mom until at least 6-8 weeks old. If that breeder gave your puppy a shot. Any vet will tell you that 1 month , or 4 weeks old is to young and not effective for ammuntity. Please be careful with you new family member. I would not recommend until properly vaccintated to take her anywhere. As she is high risk for canine disease that can be transmiteed on floors, off of someones tires etc. So easy. Be cautions and chew your breeder a new butt. It is just not ethnical Blessings, Kelly

Was there a question in there?

And how did you get a dog that is only 4 weeks old?! That's not old enough to leave its mother. Pups should not be removed from their mothers until they're at least 8 weeks (2 months) old. You can't even vaccinate a puppy that young!

Oh my gracious, sure hope this pup will be ok,as it probably isn't even weaned from its' mom.Hope you also received directions on what to do if pup won't eat or drink ,because when a pup is taken this young,it hasn't learned how to survive on its' own,and if it hasn't ,you have your work cut out for you.If you get into troble with your pup ,or need advice on an issue, just ask on this site and we will try and help you out.Wish you good luck with the baby.

That's great! Jack-reussles are REALLY cute! I would start training her soon because Jack russles tend to get very hyper, but this can be avoded if you tran her before she turns one.

Those dogs are beyond cool...Exceptionally smart and good for your health, cause they never slow down... if you take the time to train her right. She'll be the best friend you will ever have.
