what is your reasoning? Are you basing your prejudice on personal accounts, or media hype and bandwagon stereotyping?

I'd really love to hear from those who dislike/fear pitbull breeds, and why.....

I am moving to South Africa in 5 weeks time. I love my Hamster to bits, and I would love to take him with me to SA. I've contacted Pet Air, and they said they are not able to do it, and they do not know of any other company that will be able to do it. I would appreciate any suggestions. Many Thanks!

When you think that pitbulls are mean you are sterotyping...For example, all mexicans are retards... You jump to conclusions to say that ALL mexicans are retards! Pitbull have a BAD reputation because 1 pitbull ruined it all for them because that 1 pitbull probably bit a person. Pitbulls are mean because their owners made them that way... People who do that to these animals or other animals should be taken out back and be beaten to death:).To fight and make their pitbulls mean they feed their dogs raw meat and gunpower, the gunpower eats away their brain and makes the "retarded" of course this makes their owner very happy because when they win a fight they win money so of course when that dog dies they go buy a new one and that is a cycle of life for a fighter pitbull. Please take care of your dogs and always research before you get a dog. ALWAYS NETUER/SPAY IT SAVES ALOT OF LIVES AND YOU WILL BE VERY THANKFUL THAT THERE R NOT PUPPIES AND KITTENS LITTERING THE SIDEWALKS. THANX

Please note that I am in the U.K. My neighbour across the street goes out to work and leaves the dog in ALL day and this thing barks from morn til night. We have only lived here 6 months so we don't want to rock the boat but we have a small child and when he naps I try to get a nap and that thing is yapping like crazy. So therfore I am one stroppy Mummy!
What can I do? and can it be an anonomous thing???

I have two German Shepherd dogs, one is 3 the other one is 6 years old. The man I live with absolutely hates dogs. Since he moved in ( in Feb. 2006), I gradually had to make my dogs outside dogs, because he can't stand having dogs in the house. Sometimes he would tolerate the male, Max, but I don't know how this will work out, because I love my dogs, I moved 2600 miles cross country with my dog Max, and adopted the female, Stella, when I arrived here.He knew I had dogs the day we met, but I didn't know how much he disliked dogs until he moved in with me.

I will soon be moving and for the first time since leaving home i will be able to have a dog again, i have had dogs in the past as a familt thay incliude a german shepard mix, a husky mix and a jack russel mix, i also grew up with a love of walking instaled in me by the husky mix who was my sole responsabilaty since the age of 12, and though i have a full time job the dog will not be on its own as i will be living in a caravan (soon to be bungalow) on the same grounds as my retired dad and grandmouther in cornwall so i won't be whanting anything big

So I took some of your advice and tried to put my 6 yr old dog from the Humane soc in a crate in the garage. She broke out and scratched out all the dry wall and took the paint off of the steel doors trying to get out. She also pottied in the crate. I am afraid if I stake her to the ground in the yard she will break loose and dig a hole to get out. We are getting desperate since we cannot leave our house without something else being ruined wether it be the carpet or the garbage or the doors/walls. We are leaning towards bringing her back to the humane soc but we just wish there was something else we can do. We don't want her to have to be on medication for the rest of her life. We have put so much time and effort and money into her already that we are just looking for a miracle I guess. We have been taking her to Petsmart for training every week and she is learning but it's not helping us resolve the issues at hand. Any other ideas out there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've got two female hamsters (Hugs and Kisses lol) and they live in the same habitat and one of them is fairly new. But ever since I got the new one, the two of them always squeak and tumble around with each other. I don't want them to kill each other so I need to know are they just playing with each other like puppies do or are they fighting. Should I be worried? I don't know alot about hamsters, these two are my first lol. Thanks in advance!!

We have a young Portugese water dog that is not neutered and has started 'marking' around the house. We cannot have him neutered anytime soon due to a contract (long story). In the meantime how can we train him not to mark his territory inside? He's a good dog other than that. (Oh, and NO! and punishment doesn't seem to work with this breed.)

The pet shops I have been to sell little turtles for over $100 and that seems steep. I have seen places online that sell them for a fraction of that. Is it safe to buy one online?

anything I can do to help alleviate his carsickness? Sometimes it's just necessary to drive him somewhere, so "no car rides" isn't a solution.

I have a 12 wk old boxer, and she barks alot. I know she is a puppy and she will bark and whine etc, but compared to a few of my friends puppies at this age they did not bark nearly as much. When we have company over I have put her in the back room. If she hears the slightest sounds outside, she will bark for an hr straight.

I refuse to put a shock collar on her or anything like that. I tell her no and kinda slap her on her nose when she doesn't quit but nothing is seeming to work.

Please do not give idiotic answers, I am looking for serious answers only.
