I am moving to South Africa in 5 weeks time. I love my Hamster to bits, and I would love to take him with me to SA. I've contacted Pet Air, and they said they are not able to do it, and they do not know of any other company that will be able to do it. I would appreciate any suggestions. Many Thanks!

I don't want to be cruel, but for the price it would cost you, you could buy an entire army of hamsters.....and a plot of land to keep them in!

You should be able to take him on the plane and place him under the seat. They do it for small dogs why not a hamster. Just put him in a small cage.

Call the airline and ask.

Don't forget to check with customs regarding taking him to another country. That is where your problems will be.

The first question you have to get answered is if he would clear customs. Many countries do not allow rodents in due to fear of them breeding. If there are no restrictions I think the airline would allow you to take him on..but understand that he may not make the trip, it is pretty stressful for animals.

just try to sneak him somehow, or call every company and ask about sending your hamster on the plane.. hamsters should not be trouble on a plane, if they are in a cage/travel cage
