I have a simular problem. I have two tabbys, one is 2 and the other is 4. The only thing I can tell you is any time the get into a fight, use a squirt bottle or water gun and squirt both of them. It will take time and patience. They probably do get along a little but if one is to get sick you will see just how fast the other is willing to make sure they are okay. Cats are a lot like children. You cannot force them to like each other but you can get them to be "civil" together. I really would not worry too much unless they are drawing blood.

I would separate them for awhile. Strangely my indoor 2 cats weren't getting along last week after they snuck outside. After I got them back in the house, they fought constantly which never happened (except play fighting). I had to separate them for a couple days. My oldest cat that was more aggressive to instigate the fight, I had to spray him with water so he would leave my other cat alone. One week later as of today things are back to normal with them. :)

Are they ACTUALLY "fighting"? If they're fighting fighting (to hurt each other), you'll know. Cats wrestle around all the time....it's playing to them and is totally normal. They can even exhibit signs of hating each others' guts (ears flat back, tails swishing, etc.)....but if they're not hurting each other, they're just playing. When cats really hate each other and FIGHT, there will be yowls of pain, growls, hisses, screeches, and often blood. They are absolutely vicious when they're really fighting.

My cats fight all the time too. Cats are typically loners and they are territorial. I can't really suggest what to do about that though. I usually yell at the one who started it and chase them away from each other.

You need to separate them for awhile. Gradually introduce their scent to each other by rubbing them with fabric or what not that has the others scent on it. eventually bring them in the same room together while they're eating. This will take a lot of time. But definately separate them awhile.
