I have two dogs, but my one dog always eats my other dogs feces as soon as she goes. It disgusts me and no matter how much I yell, she will still do it. I try to pick it up right away, but at times I just let them out especially at night and I see her droppings but never any signs of the other! We also have a bunny and she eats hers too, where as my other dog has no interest. She doesn't eat her own just my other dogs and the bunny's. Why does she do this? Is it territorial, a nutrion thing, or a mommy instinct (she is female)? Also, is this healthy for her?

Five years ago, my cat returned home from a 10-day absence. He was dirty and dragging his hind legs. Took him to vet, got x-rayed, nothing broken. Vet prescibed nothing but vitamin c mashed in his food to "make the cat stronger" was what she said. Cat didn't only get stronger, he walked, ran, and jumped normally again after 3 months of diligent exercise. So now, I give him vit C when flu season is on to "beef up" his immunity. Anyone else do this?

Evil aren't they? (cats). Yet why do we compare women to these terrioble killers of small furry animals and birds of all types (the aviary life of a nieghbourhood can be reduced bvy the introduction of the humble moggy).

I know what it it means to spay an animal, but I want to know if anybody knows why it's called 'spay'. I can understand why in male animals it's called 'neuter' but i dont understand where the word 'spay' comes from that applies to female animals.

We just got a new puppy yesterday, Until the end of Oct., there will be a couple days of the week that he will have to be in his crate for almost 10 hours due to me and my roomates schedules. We work to far away to come home on lunch. Now, now we are trying to find someone to let him out in between this time to go and to eat, that may not be possible. What should I do about his need to go potty in this long period of time? Should I just expect that he will go in the crate, and make the crate larger so he can, or keep the divider in half? Any ideas? Thanks.

I need a name for a cat I'm getting. Its a Siberian forest cat. Can you come up with a "S" name since all my sister and brothers name starts with a "S". So she can fit in with the family. It's a girl cat.

We're a family of 4, with kids aged 4 and 8. We're looking for family dog recomendations. We've had a beagle mix before, but now have fencing issues in our community. So looking for a non-wandering dog! We would prefer something small to medium size, and minimal grooming, in other words no visits to a groomer! We'd be happy to have a breed we can groom at home. We also have two cats. (No terriers then?) Sorry, no labs or goldens either, too big for our taste. If a mixed breed, what kind of mix? Opinions appreciated!

They are now experimenting with incresing the crebral cortex in a
dog fetus brain to see how smart the dog is as an adult dog.
The connections are going to be as dense as the cerebral cortex of a human, and there is a strong possibility that the dog will have something closely resembling human intelligence.

Wouldn't that be funny if your dog was smarter than you?
Our little 5-year-old Collie is whip-smart, and obeys 13-16
commands, depending on if she's in the mood.
I don't know if I could handle "Pinkie" with human intelligence.
I think Pinkie would drive me up a wall with her incessant
questions.

If you could give your dog human intelligence, would you? Wouldn't
you love to have a hreat-to-heart talk with fido? Find out his pet
peeves, fears, bugaboos.

It would be more fun to ride with your dog in the passenger seat
if he could talk too. Imagine the wonderful conversations you
two would share. You could talk about sports, current events,
etc.

Can any dog show judges out there tell me if allowances are made in puppy classes. We go to ringcraft classes and are getting our pup as well trained as we can,but I wondered if allowances were made for any slight discrepances. Also does any one know if it is a fault if a b/collies ears do not both lay the same?

My father accidently ran over a Brown Anole Lizard with a lawn mowers. His back left leg has grass stuck to it and is bloody, it is also hanging uselessly. His tail is hurt too, but I know it will grow back. If my mom lets me keep him, what do I keep him in, what do I feed him, and how do I give him water?

I have a 2 bedroom apt, and someone was telling me that a great dane makes a great apartment dog. I was wondering if it is true. Obviously I would take it for a nice walk everyday, Just wondering, I am in love with big dogs.
