Is it really a show of affection? Just curious, because we always say, "that dog gives lots of kisses" and such. Is it really a form of kisses for a dog? Does the dog instinctively think it is "kissing" you or is it some kind of reaction to what the human is doing?

i have two lab puppies that came from humble begining's. i'm currently doing dog obedience with them. (what a blast!) one of the puppies female seems to be a real pleaser. I'm a liitle concern because she is bulllegged in the front. She'll retieve a ball during play except in far throws. During the heel she seems to want to walk almost on top my knee regardless of what i do. She's areal sweetheart unlike her sister who is a bit of a rebel but a lot of fun. I moved her elbow and didn't feel any thing unusual and it didn't seem to hurt her. Has any body else dealt w/this. I'm open to suggestions.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a fancy rhinestone studded collar for my female Bulldog? I was hoping for something sparkly and cute, but tough. Like her. Any suggestions?

Any tips about what I could do about this? She is a long hair tri-color tabby. A little bit overweight. Indoors only. Eats the same dry food; don't try different brands cause I knows cats can be picky and get upset stomaches easily.

i have 3 german shepherds. 2 of them, i've raised since they were pups and trained them as young adults and acheived a Schutzhund 2 level with both of them. The 3rd one is 10 months old and he has the potential for doing great tracking and protection work, the obedience is getting there. My question is this, the youngest one is fully confident while at home and has great defensive drive. His prey drive is good and i've been building it as time goes by. The thing is, he is scared or larger dogs for some reason. When he was a pup he got nipped by one of the larger ones i have because he enjoyed bitting ears a little too much. The question is how do i build his confidence so that he isn't afraid of larger dogs. He is not scared of humans at all. In fact, he lets kids touch him and if anyone gets too close to the handler, he erects himself and gives a good warning bark. He has a great potential for a Schutzhund or working title but this lack of confidence with larger dogs has me curious.

She has the worst flaky skin. Looks like a horrible case of dandruff. It is mainly around her back/butt area. I added Missing Link to her diet for the Omegas but it doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?
