The reason I ask is because there are a number of neighbors with cats and they are aware we aren't supposed to have pets (fish are ok) and the landlord really hasn't done anything about that. In addition, my whole life I have had cats & have had them fixed so they won't spray. Never have they ruined any part of the house (although my 1st cat wasn't declawed and he used to use the furniture to sharpen them)! What kind of trouble would I be in if I took in cats? I have lived in this rental for 4 years now.

I love my cats and kittens, I have 6. We do have them outside because we just aren't home enough to care for them. But my cats are clean and loyal. Its just that my cats like to poop in my beautiful, green grass which drives my husband crazy! We have weekend BBQ's and family gatherings every weekend and my husbands has to pick up tons of poop everywhere! What can I do to make the poop somewhere else? Or make them stop pooping in the grass??? Is there something I can put in the yard? Please help!

OK, here's the deal. The "tomcat" is actually Sgt. Cheekypuss, a 3 year old neutered male cat who lives with us. My son and I adopted him as a kitten when we lived in Illinois.

Whilst in Illinois, Cheeky got to go both indoors and outdoors as we lived in a rural setting. Regardless of this freedom, Cheeky still used the indoor litterbox and spent a fair enough time indoors. We got him neutered at about that time when cats should be neutered.

Since moving, we cannot let him out anymore as the city has strict policies on pets. He got out once and animal control picked him right up and we had to pay like $200 to get him out of "jail". Cheeky seems to have adjusted to indoor life just fine, and when I take him outside to play in his cat run (I bought this so he could at least get some fresh air), he wants nothing to do with it.

However, Cheeks goes through these almost "monthly" cycles where he poos on the living room floor in the night. He'll do this for about a week.

My dog is a koolie and she is 8 months old. Whenever i walk out of the room she goes pscho and starts barking. We have tried everything from going back and playing with her, yelling, squirting her with water, and even flicking her on the nose (dont freak out, we arent abuseing her-our dog trainer/vet suggested this, it doesnt hurt them) the only way we can get her to be quiet is to go back to her and sit with her and play... but as soon as we leave again she barks and we have to go back. any ideas?

My dog has two raised areas on the sides of her jaw and one under her jaw. I've seen these on all dogs. Small raised areas with hairy patches. They are obviously some kind of organ. What are they for?
