I believe its 6-8 weeks as long as they know what a litter box is and can eat and drink on their own. Do not give a kitten away that is not using the litter box and not feeding well on kitten food or drinking from a bowl.

all kittens should stay with the mother at least 6 weeks for health reason but 8 weeks of age is always best and in some states you can not sell till 8 weeks legally.

I agree with the other posters about the kittens. Try to convince people to take a pair of kittens too. Young kittens really need to have a playmate to help them learn good kitten manners and people will have an easier time and fewer problems if they take a pair.

You don't want to give them away any younger than six weeks old. It is at that time that they are able to eat dry and wet cat food. Also, they are able to drink water out of a dish. Any younger than that they are still being weaned by their mother. Also, just as an aside; contrary to the movies and cartoons...do not give your kittens/cats bottled or can milk. It causes a great deal of gas in their stomachs and causes diahrrea.

i would say 8 weeks, 6 weeks is still a bit young. and they need socialized.

not before you ween them from their mother and that should be 6-8 weeks if you do this too soon they could die or be very unhealthy cats
