They are now experimenting with incresing the crebral cortex in a
dog fetus brain to see how smart the dog is as an adult dog.
The connections are going to be as dense as the cerebral cortex of a human, and there is a strong possibility that the dog will have something closely resembling human intelligence.

Wouldn't that be funny if your dog was smarter than you?
Our little 5-year-old Collie is whip-smart, and obeys 13-16
commands, depending on if she's in the mood.
I don't know if I could handle "Pinkie" with human intelligence.
I think Pinkie would drive me up a wall with her incessant
questions.

If you could give your dog human intelligence, would you? Wouldn't
you love to have a hreat-to-heart talk with fido? Find out his pet
peeves, fears, bugaboos.

It would be more fun to ride with your dog in the passenger seat
if he could talk too. Imagine the wonderful conversations you
two would share. You could talk about sports, current events,
etc.

I think it would be great, but I don't know if I like the idea of messing with them in this way to get it.

Got me a Border Collie, who at adult age, is supposed to have the mentallity of a 7 year old child. I think that's pretty smart right there! I'm hooked on the breed for their smarts alone! That look they get in their eyes that's so intense when they focus on something amazes me every time!

I imagine he already is... He's got me feeding him, cleaning up after him, waiting on him hand and paw, all without ever asking. And he can get anything he needs from me just by standing at the front door. Gotta be pretty smart to do that...

I would want my dog to have human intelligence. I wish I could talk to her and ask her questions.
