Hi,I've always fed my kitties "Iams" kitten food.I think it still only comes in one flavor, but all of the kittens I've ever had love it.And I don't know if I have just always had "BIG" cats,or if the IAMS did it,but all my cats have been big guy's.I don't know if you have a certain breed of kitty,if you do ,maybe ask the person or store you bought him/her from what they recommend.I've always had your "BASIC GENERIC" cat,and I don't know if it's because I interact with them like they're little "PEOPLE" and love and talk to them, but my kitties have always had the cutest personalities.I have a big jet black cat that was 6yrs old in June, and he is our"KID". I have him on "HILLS SCIENCE DIET" dry food, for sensitive stomachs. As with most cats,he's obsessed with keeping clean. He has the most beautiful long fluffy hair and tail. From all the cleaning he was having problems, throwing up.We put him on that dry food, which is available for him all day,and when he wants a "TREAT" he will only eat FANCY FEAST.We also started him on "LAXATONE" twice a day,it keeps his coat really shiny, and cuts down on the hairballs cause they "pass" through him,and come out the other end. Also he has a little problem with constepation,so that helps.I'm disabled, and home all day,and there are times I think I would've gone"MAD" if I didn't have him for company. He seems very happy and he's loved and spoiled just as if he's a child.I hope that helps you a bit more. And I pray you have your "BABY" for many years to come. And get as much loyality and companionship as we have had from our Loki.Take care and God bless.

P.S.We live in the HI-DESERT in Calif.,we have coyotes, and snakes, and more of a worry especially at night, are Owl's and Hawk's,I didn't know that when I first moved here, and my Beautiful orange cat loved to hunt and catch mice, but something else loved to hunt also, and he just "DISAPPARED" one night,so my guy now is an indoor cat.I buy him "greens" in the form of wheat berries from the health food store, and he has wheat grass at his disposable at all times. And he gets his sunshine in a window where his "CAT TREE"is and suns himself every afternoon.I think they are so much safer indoors.Especially a black cat at this time of year would be a target for sickos.

Kitten food. Start off with just dry food. They as they get a little bigger you can give um a little wet food with it. Also what I did was gave them a little bit of milk watered down with warm water. maybe like every other day! then go to just reg water, but give them that as a little treat once and a while..... Good luck kittens are great fun!

Definately Purina Kitten Chow. My two kittens are growing healthy and very rapidly, and they love to eat this stuff. It's not the cheapest, but it is cheaper than buying cans, and better for their teeth.

go to a pet store or grocer store and look for kitten chow or cereal that is made for kittens so they can get the Vitim's and minerals that they need to grow and be strong.

Cat food. You can moisten the dry kind, but I like the kind in cans as it is all meat and cats are carnivores.
