Ok we got a house but need a washer and dryer, we have very little money as is and we have to be on a very strict budget. I really don't want to do it neither does my husband, but the only thing we have of value is our puppy. I am not saying that I am going to do this because I can suffer with out a washer and dryer but also it is a must have. I don't want to be put down for this but I am willing to take anyones comment and not take them to heart. I just want to know what your opinions are on selling your dog to be able to afford a washer and dryer and if anyone would do the same thing. I would not sell him to any random person I will check into them and if they meet my standereds then I would adopt him out.

What do you all have to say. See we got our puppy 3 months ago and just a few weeks ago desided to buy a house, so the house was not planed before the dog.

Help other municipalities with their overflow of unwanted cats??
The SPCA services two small towns and a large rural area and it is well supported by the communities. In the past they have accepted overflow dogs from puppy mill closures, shouldn't they do the same for cats.

I have cats and dogs so I love both. I just don't understand why cats are more disposable.

We have a Rottweiler dog and it needs to be trained. Basically not to beg for food ( hard because everyone gives her table food but want her to atleast not beg from me) and When/when not to attack. She tends to get very violent and does not know when to stop, hitting her ( not that hard ) and stuff like that gets her more violent, and pushing makes it worse : ). Lastly she got a food problem. If you go near her when she has like a nice tasting bone or something like that ( pig ear ) She will growl then eventually snap if you get to close. Any tips on training before she gets to old?

My girlfriend and I were having a couple of drinks in my home. Steve and his son knocked on my door and wanted to know if they could come in. We said sure. Two hours later I had to go to the bathroom, I heard Steve say we have to go. I said wait a minute and I will walk you out when I get done. When I woke up in the morning, I called my puppy and he didn't respond. I could roll over or cough and he would want to climb up in bed to be with me. I seen his leg out under neth my bed. I pulled him out and looked at him he was skinny my puppy was plump. This puppy had ear mites and had black markings on the back of his legs, my didn't. There were 5 puppies 2 black and 3 honey color 2 male and 1 female. What Steve did was switched his puppy for mine. Honey is 2 and a half months old I had him for a month. I toke the puppy back to my X boyfriend and told him he switched him out,of course he denize it. Steve is my X boyfriends friend. Steve lives in another town. What can I do? I 'm heartbroken

Okay, I adopted a 7-week-old kitten from some really awful people yesterday. He was covered with fleas when I brought him home last night, so I immediately took him straight to the tiled bathroom and he has not left it since. Obviously cannot use any commercial flea remedies since he is far short of 12 weeks. So far I have rinsed him with a water/white vinegar mix, scrubbed him with Dawn dish soap, applied straight vinegar to his fur with cotton balls, and soaped him up with Dawn dish soap and then rinsed him. The fleas are definitely better, but still there. Does anyone have any other ideas? Also, since he's only been in the bathroom, do I need to worry about fleas in other parts of the house? Thanks!

jan of this year my jack russel terrior gave birth to three adorable puppies. they lived in my bathroom for 3 whole months. they pooed everywhere but the mommy cleaned her pups mess up nicely. when they got bigger we moved them outside into a little kennel. around may we built a bigger kennel. they have each other to play with. but the elements are hard. they have their fur to protect them but still we bring them inside when it rains, when the mosquitos were bad in mid july and when it was too darn hot to be outside. "inside" means, we put them in their pet carriers and place the carriers inside my kitchen. they never roam my house freely. but now fall and winter are approaching..and it's been raining and the temp is dropping. how can i housetrain all four dogs IF i chose to. or can these dogs do well outside? i hear of farm dogs, sled dogs, ranch dogs that have no choice to live outside and they do well. are my dogs just the same?

I had cancer which led to depression. I receive disability, and I cannot afford the size of dog my apt complex will allow. I really want one for companionship.

My dog (9 y/o Miniature Schnauzer) has been coughing really bad, and dry heaving, and I think it is because while I was at work today she got into whay was left of my blooming onion from outback steakhouse, which is kinda spicy. I am thinking she has heartburn, and I don't know what to do for her. Any suggestions? I gave her a fresh bowl of water, she I can't get her to drink any. I have some cimetidine heartburn pills that I take myself, but im afraid to give one to her cause I don't know how it would affect her. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
