If this is not constant, your kitten is healthy and content the rest of the time and it happens regularly it sounds much like what I call a 'mad half hour'. All of the kittens I have ever had have done this right up until about a year old. They act as if someone is chasing them, darting around too fast for comfort with a mad look in their eye, their fur on end and their tails bushy, sending the kids up onto the sofa screaming and laughing, then they suddenly calm down and either start to groom or it gets too much over excitement and they hide under the bed for a minute. Then it's over ...until the next time. I think it's letting off steam in the absence of fellow littermates.
But if you are worried that this is disturbing your cat or your cat is off it's food or looks generally unwell when not showing this behaviour then go straight to the vet it could be serious or it could be simple like ear mites.

My mother cat who is 12 does this also. She makes Grrrr sounds and it is so funny to watch. Has she been desexed and she could be coming onto heat. But from the sounds of things it sounds like she is just being a cute, playful kitten. I love when cats do these sorts of things it is so funny!

Get her to a vet asap. It could be she is having a seizure of some kind. I lost a 6 week old kitten to seizures. He would have them, scream, thrash around until he passed out.. We did all we could for a week..He had been taken from his mom too soon To make a long story short we had him put to sleep.Had to,,just too many serious health problems.

My kitten does sometimes play like this. But it's not constant. She does have periods of "acting normal" in between.

your kitten is sick, very sick. I had a kitten 12 years ago do the same thing and he died after about 48 hours. To this day i still dont know what killed him. But take your pussie to the vet ASAP!

She's either playing strangely, or something is biting her, or she may be having some other problem. If you take her to a vet they should be able to tell you.

I've had a lot of cats and that just sounds like how a cat acts to me. Just be grateful she isn't biting you!

If she is doing it constantly, sound like there is something wrong - she has been poison with a neurological poison. .. Get her to the vet.
If it is just sometimes, she is playing

Either an evil spirit is attacking her, or there will be a doozy of an earthquake where you live.
