Im looking into a healthier food choice for my 18 month old kitten (okay shes a cat but I wanna baby her as much as possible lol) anyways. Im not asking for specific brands but more of what ingredients do I avoid? Which should be 1st and so on. She is currently on Cat Chow and fancy feast medley's as a treat every other day or so.

My dog (about 20 lbs) just licked the remains of my hot chocolate mug that contained a good amount of cocoa powder sludge at the bottom of the cup. What should I do?! I've heard that chocolate or the enzyme in chocolate can kill dogs. Help please!!

I have a small pinscher. I've had her for a year. She not the brightest of dogs.. but she's sweet. But i'm on the verge of killing her! She is constantly peeing on my bed and on my clothes and in my room!! It is so frustrating! I am not able to catch her in the act since I work and am often not home. But my roomate is and she repremands her. She is walked often. She was crate trained and pees and poos outside all other times. It seems to be only me, she hardly ever does this to my roomate. Which is strange b.c the crate is in her room and she often sleeps in her bed. Also i can't keep my door close b.c I also have a cat and the litter box is in my room, so I can't lock him out. But i want it to stop!! I'm going to go crazy! Anyone have any good ideas, please?!?! Thanks!!

when they can get one from rescue or a shelter that has been vaccinated, spayed or neutered and sometimes even microchipped? Vet care is expensive and rescues and shelters get discounts from vets, making rescue and adoption a much more affordable alternative than a "free" pet...

We just had a baby three weeks ago, until that time our yellow lab was essentially our baby. We've been very consious to try to include her in everything since she is a member of the family, but she still seems to be depressed. Since we brought the baby home she has taken to sitting under the table or in the foot space under our desk, two things she never did before. She also sighs a lot. She is a super nurturing lab and is really protective of the baby, but she still seems down. what should we do?

We have recently got a rescue ferret and we love him that much we want to get another one! We were told by the man we got him from that he was difficult to pair up with another ferret as he kept fighting. Does anyone know how we can introduce another ferret without Freddie attacking it!?

her vagina is swollen, and she is bleeding. How long will she bleed for and is it after she stops bleeding that she is most "attractive" to the males? We have a boy chi, but do not want to mate them until she is older. Oh yeah, is her 'gina supposed to be SOOOO swollen, or does it just seem larger because she's so tiny? Any help or sites would be most appreciated.

I'm thinking of buying a wolf hybrid (high, 75% wolf) off of an aquaintance. I'm wondering how badly they shed...does anyone know?

I have the bomb but I live in a condo. I can't really take everthing out of my house but I do daycare and have a 16 month old daughter. Do I have to wash all of my clothes/her clothes after? Do you have to wipe everything down? I just don't want to end up poisoning her. I was planning on rug doctoring right after but didn't know what other precautions I need to take! Thanks all!

My dog just had her first litter of puppies. She only had one, unless she ate them or buried them to, shes young not one year old i think. Why did she bury her pup? The puppy died from too much mud in her we tried to save it but after a while it gave up.

It’s come to this. Amy has agreed to move back, but only if I give Rory away. Rory, my beloved Great Dane has been with me for over 5 years and is a cherished member of my family. Amy is a smart, sexy lady…though a little controlling. I hate the fact that she has put me in this horrible dilemma. How many other people have to make these kinds of decisions? It would break my heart to give Rory away, and it also saddens me to have no love life. Amy leaves no middle ground…It’s either her or him…her words. So…any advice from anyone? I told her I would think about it for 24 hours and let her now. Rory has been very mean to her and is incredibly jealous.

The "code" applies to all dog owners, no?
FYI- I have three dogs, one very ancient German Shepherd (she's at least 16) a Belgian Malinois, and a mega dominant Chow-Shepherd mix (the smallest but most feisty of the three)
I don't own a Pit but I have known people who have had to get rid of perfectly wonderful dogs (dogs that never harmed anyone!) due to other people's intolerance and ignorance.
