I have a small pinscher. I've had her for a year. She not the brightest of dogs.. but she's sweet. But i'm on the verge of killing her! She is constantly peeing on my bed and on my clothes and in my room!! It is so frustrating! I am not able to catch her in the act since I work and am often not home. But my roomate is and she repremands her. She is walked often. She was crate trained and pees and poos outside all other times. It seems to be only me, she hardly ever does this to my roomate. Which is strange b.c the crate is in her room and she often sleeps in her bed. Also i can't keep my door close b.c I also have a cat and the litter box is in my room, so I can't lock him out. But i want it to stop!! I'm going to go crazy! Anyone have any good ideas, please?!?! Thanks!!

SPANK HER BUTT WITH A NEWSPAPER
MAYBE SHE RESENTS YOU FOR BEING GONE SO MUCH SO SHE PEE'S ON YOUR STUFF.

Okay, this happened to me. I was staying at my brothers house and he has a German Shepard. It sounds like your dog is having a temper tantrum. She didn't like a new guest in the house. Also, is your roomate new? Or is your cat a new addition? Is the dog fixed? It could be that she is in heat; and she is leaving her scent. Dogs, are very intelligent more intelligent than we give them credit for. You could cage train her again, in order to keep her from urinating. It is hard to rempremand her when you don't catch her in the act. They are like small children, short term memory. Make sure that you embilish when she does something good. It could all be her way of wanting to get attention possitive/negative. You would need to go into further detail with your vet if the problem continues. There is a green apple spray that is to prevent animals from peeing where ever you spray this. Last but not least; are you sure that it isn't the cat. I had cats that did that and I am only led to believe that, becuase you said that the animal is peeing on the clothes. Check your litterbox to make sure it isn't too dirty; or if you changed your brand of litter. If the cat pee's on the bed the dog could very well be doing it as well just to mask the cats markings. Also, put your clothing up off the floor assuming that is where they are peeing. Hopefully some of this (past experiance) advise helps. Good luck

Buy a baby gate and put it up in your doorway while you are gone. The cat will still be able to get in, but unless your pooch is super doggie, she won't be able to jump the gate to get in. It kind of sounds like the dog is upset or jealous that you leave her. My dog started going to the bathroom in the baby's room at night after years of being housebroken. We ended up having to crate her at night cause she just wouldn't stop. Hopefully you won't have to go that far.

I was going to say if your dog was a male you need to have him neutered.... marking.... I don't know if the same applies for a female though.... either way, you need to have the dog fixed if you haven't already.

Try those dog training pads. Those help for some people.

I am going to say that your dog is trying to show you whos boss by marking his territory...You can get your dog fixed and that will probably help the situation but also try to catch him and smack him with a newspaper...

You don't need to kill her, that would be mean. Just get rid of her to a family that can keep her in a pen in their yard.

netx time she does it, take her snout and rub her nose in it, let her know shes been bad ("bad dog!") then, pick her up and stick her nose where its okay to go to the bathroom like in the dirt outside and they'll relate it to that spot....it doesnt harm them and thats how i trained my dog.....
