Not at all.. It depends on the breeder. Puppy mill dogs lack early socialization, so are often insecure and hyper active..
Well bred Bosties are a delight!
As soon as I have a home with more room, I have always wanted to start a Bosties rescue...I think they must be my favorite small dog, although I have had only one, and had a friend that was a breeder, and her dogs were wonderful.

They prefer the term "delightfully eccentric." And every single one of them that I've ever known have pushed that definition to the dizzy limit.
There's the usual way to do something. . .and then there's a Boston terrier's way. Generally speaking, the two have precious little in common.
But whatever else you can say for life with a Boston terrier, it's not apt to be dull!

My friend has a Boston Terrier and that thing from what I have heard is crazy and very very hyper!!

Yes! They are fun little dogs...much like Pugs, they act like puppies forever. If they don't have an outlet for that energy, some can be VERY destructive for their small size. (One of my husbands childhood Bostons ripped down several doors in his day, whearas the female was non destructive, sweet, and goofy). All in all, I think they're great little dogs...but every last one of them is off their rocker...in a good way.

No. They have high energy and you need to be calm an assertive. You are the alpha dog or pack leader. You tell them what to do and when to do it. Check out the Dog Whisperer or Cesar Milan...
You may need to give your dog plenty of exercise and a smaller space. Of course any dog can get crazy :)

All small dogs are just really hyper cause they have so much energy, it helps for them to have lots of room to run around all the time so that they can use this energy, otherwise they will store it all up

It depends on the breeding. Many of them will fight and are destructive. I have several that are very sane dogs. I have one that is absolutely crazy and destructive (she is NOT in the breeding program).
