We treat our two dogs every month for fleas, and in our old apartment, we never had a problem with fleas. We've moved to another apartment, and now we're having a problem. I'm afraid they're bringing them in, even though they've been treated.

How can I get rid of them in the furniture, carpet, and keep them out!

I recently noticed my cat drinking more water than before, so I had my vet do a blood draw and everything was pretty good there. She decided to prescribe anti-biotics in case there was a UTI, but my cat is still drinking about the same amount. I recently decided to measure it, and it appears to be about 6-8 ounces per day. She is 7 lbs or so. She eats about an equal amount of dry and canned food plus I give her a fiber supplement. I am suspecting that she may have been previously sneaking water out of the swimming pool, but the water has been so warm lately that maybe she stopped that and is only drinking indoors. I've tried searching around and can't seem to find any guidelines for what might be a normal amount for a cat to drink. Thanks for your help. Terry

I've never questioned a dogs ability to look up until watching "Shaun of the Dead". Ed claims that dogs can't look up. When he says look up I believe he means straight up. None of this, their head is a little bit up buisness. But come to think of it I don't think I ever have seen a dog look up. Is it possible? If so can you provide some proof for me?

My boyfriend and I recently purchased a conure and we already love him to death. He loves to snuggle, especially under the blankets. But we aren't keen with him sleeping with us like this at night in our bed for obvious reasons. When we put him in his cage, he just clings to the wires and never sits on his perch. He moves around all night and makes little noises. We read that they like nesting boxes and since he likes to be covered with a blanket, we made a little "snuggle box" for him. But he hates it. What else can we try? I'm worried that he isn't getting enough rest. The other thing I should mention is that we have a parakeet, which we keep in our spare bedroom. Eventually we want the conure's cage to sit in the same room as the parakeet's, but they are still in the "getting to know each other phase." Therefore, for now, the conure's cage is in our bedroom. Do we need to move his cage out of our bedroom? Thanks for any advice!

My husband finally consented to allow me to adopt a small dog. He has a shepard/husky mix, and I want a pug. I would prefer a young adult, but I'm not particularly picky. I just want one that doesn't have a loving home. If you have info to e-mail, send it to this ID at yahoo. Thank you!!! :D

My pug eats a good bit. Is that O.K?
I'm not sure myself. We feed her and she gets big and strong.
Will this be bad later in her pug life?

I have a turtle who escaped days ago and found it again. If I would have left it there it could have been squashed by my moronic neighbors so I am planning to release her in the future, in the stream that is next to my house, but I have my concerns.

What do they eat in their natural habitat?

Is a turtle that belongs in fresh water.

Does anybody live in a rental building in Washington DC, which allows dogs, and which they'd recommend? I am looking to rent in a modern luxury building (Spatious floor plan with powder room, Gym, Washer/Dryer in unit, etc..) and I don't want to rent from one particular individual owner, because I don't want to worry about having to move when owner wants to sell or move back in, and I have a small dachsund. I went up and down Wisconsin Ave and Connecticut Ave, and never found what I was looking for. Aware and willing to pay the price. Would appreciate real answers from personal knowledge not links to searches.

His hindlegs were giving out and he was going in cirles all the time , but he always found his way to the bedroom and hadn't made any mistakes in the house . I miss him as his little friend's do too . They keep looking for him in his bed and when they eat .
I just know that he is chasing rabbits . He wasn't able to do that for the last 2 yr , now he can again .

My cat is about 3 years old. Lately one of her ears have been really bugging her. She has it down unlike the other one, and she scratches, and shakes her head a lot. I don't think it's earmites because she doesn't act like its painful. What could it be???

I know the best to do would obviously be to call the vet, but I live a little away from the nearest town, my phone at home is not working and no cell phone available. Should I try to reach the vet somehow?
