I need good answers because I'm getting them both, and I really don't want to see my hedgehog eaten - -.

I would get the dog first, and when it's properly trained, get the hedgehog. That way your well-trained dog will avoid eating the hedgehog. I have a puppy right now, and it eats, attacks, and plays with everything.

my dog likes to play with them in the back garden. he eats lots of other things like moths and spiders but never the hedgehogs. i would keep the hedgehog in a cage and only let it out when you're playing with it so it stays safe. perhaps put your dog outside then too just in case.

I would keep the hedgehog up out of the dogs reach just to make sure when you're not around.

I don't know that they'll eat them intentionally, but they may play with them too roughly.

yes, they will especially if its a poodle they live to kill rodents!
