Im looking for a small dog that is great with kids and doesn't shed very much! The kids go outside all the time but our German Shephard jumps on them so we need a extra small dog! Any ideas?

hmmmm get a pekingese! those dogs are awesome. they are very small and playful(my aunt just got one) and they look like a big fur ball. Type pekingese on google.

Boston Terriers, are wonderful with children, and they hardly shed at all. You don't even have to spend alot of money on grooming bills too! I grew up with that breed, it was my parents favorite breed of dog. They also have a very sweet disposition, as well as intelligent. Since I grew up and had my own family, I have had German Shepherds, because it was a breed I had always been in love with since a child, but could never have. Ours has always been mostly indoors, and were well trained except they DO shed alot! They were good and very protective of my three children, but I do love both breeds!

A Bichon Frise thy are small and they don't shed at all, And they are wonderful with kids I have a five year old niece and she plays with the one I have all day there the best of Friends.
