I noticed one of my large (6 1/2") common goldfish not eating and sortof just hangin around near the top, not floating. It looks like he is bloated. Is he sick? or just fat and lazy? He is in a 55 gl with goldfish and koi friends. When I bought him he was a scrawny 3/4 of an inch feeder fish, that my oscar would not eat, he kept him as a friend.

i just got a kitten, the first night she explored the house, and of course found the hamster...he is in a very large cage so for now he's on the top of out big screen tv...im more worried about her getting to him and knocking the cage over, should i invest in a smaller cage so i can put him on a bookshelf, or will she get over it in time?

I recently bought a nice quiet yearling mare. When in stall, she backs up against a wall and dumps, smearing down the wall, always in the same spot. When outside, she picks the barn door to do the same thing. How can I get her to stop that? It's the first thing I step in!

And don't say "Creamsicle." It's a boy, okay. Do something funny.
And by the way give me some other fish names, too.

My husband and I can not bare kids and we were considering getting a pet to complete our family. However, my husband is rather particular and says if we get a dog he wants a breed that is short haired so it does not shed as much, one that is small (about the size of a Papillon to a Wired Haired Fox Terrier,) one that is calm (like a lap dog,) and one that is not a consistent barker. We also want to make sure the dog does not bite often and is more loving then anything. What breed is like this? Also, should we consider a male or a female?

Thank you so much for the help! We have been searching like crazy for our newest addition to the family but can not find the perfect dog. With your help we hope we can find one! Thanks again!

We have 5 mice, 2 rats, 4 gerbils, and iguana, a guniea pig, a bird, and fish none of which have stirred up his wheezing. We got the ferrets (who are adorable btw) yesterday evening and he spent most of last night wheezing, not too bad but bad enough to warrent the inhaler a few times. And why would the ferrets cause asthma to act up when none of the other furry/scaly/feathery pets have?

I still have to sweep the floor two/three times a day to get rid of all the litter on the floor. Shes a really good kitty otherwise, has heaps of stimulation but sometimes she just gets in and acts as if she has gone the toilet even if she hasnt. Hence a floor full of litter. HELP, it really hurts if u step on it in ur bare feet lol

We love his kitten and wish her no harm, but we have to come up with something to discourage her from jumping up on cabinets. I have spanked her, sprayed her with water, and locked her in the utility room, but nothing seems to work.

I need to find a good bedding for my guiena pig, the pet stores here only sell pine/cedar beddings, any suggestions?

There also isn't any fresh hay around.
