A dog is not dumb. A dog is a dog. Some are quicker to learn than others, but it's the teacher who's supposed to be smart enough to find a way to teach something effectively. It's too easy to blame the pupil.

Why do you think the dog is not intelligent? i have dogs and have found that usually its the owner not knowing the proper methods to train the dog.. I have had dogs all my life,I have taught them all the basics ie: sit , stay, etc. they also have special training such as jump rope, push the scooter, balance on a ball etc. I have no particular breeds, and I have taught old and young dogs. what is your dogs problem, maybe i can help you.

different breeds are smarter than others. A Corgy for instance is very smart so is a Schipperke. I have a Maltese and I think he is pretty smart but not like my sons Corgy. I once had such a stupid dog he did not know to come in from the rain, he was the Heinz 57 variety , a mix.

No, I have four and they are not dumb... Your dog may be confused.... People confuse their animals... You have to be consistent with everything just like a child until they are trained.... It just takes patience and kindness and you will be surprised how smart your dog really is.......
