She's not really interested in her ball or string. Sometimes she likes to pounce at my fingers when I wiggle them across the bed to her like a snake.

My miniature poodle gets bloody diarrhea several times a year. She's about 5 1/2 years old. I have already taken her to the vet for this, but the only thing they can think of is that she's stressed (over what?!). So they recommended I give her Kaopectate. There doesn't seem to be any change in her behavior either. Does anyone else have any advice or a second opinion? I would love to stop this from happening to her!

My dog will grab an item and show you that she has it then run off. If you get near her to try and get it back she gets very possesive over it. She will growl and snarl and really clamp down on the item. I have tried the dominant approach, made her go into time out, ignore her and tried trade with a treat. The best approach thus far is to ignore her, but this is hard to do when she has run off with the remote control or phone as don't want them destroyed or her to ingest anything she shouldn't. Any help would be much, much appreciated.

We have a medium to large size dog with about 7 acres. He has more than enough room, but still insists on running off. He is an inside/outside pet. I'm a firm believer in not penning up or chaining up a dog, but sometimes we have to chain him in the yard to do his business or just to play with him. We don't want him hit by a car or stolen. I've looked into the electronic fence that is buried around your property, but it is expensive.

I am looking after my neighbors cockatiel for a week, and I'm pretty clueless about what it needs. How often should I change the food and water? Do cockatiels need a lot of company throughout the day? How much time should I be spending with it? I know this cockatiel was abused by the previous owner and it doesn't like to be handled.

I'd appriciate any advice I can get. I know that bleaching items that have been in contact with the infected puppy is best, but what about items such as carpet? Bleaching the carpet would likely ruin it, Any advice on how to disinfect the carpet from the virus without distroying it would be very much appriciated.

Quick History:
Last week we addopted a puppy from the humane socieity. He was only 8 weeks old. (now 9 weeks). We named him Cooper. He was playful, smart and well behaved. A few days ago he became very sick. We have been to 2 vets and spent over $300 already and finally found out that, dispite testing negative for parvo when we adopted him, he now is parvo-positive. The Vet is optimistic and expects around 75% chance of recovery, but poor Cooper is already weak from Kennel Cough so his chances may be a bit lower. Anyone who wants to keep Cooper in their hopes/prayers for us would be appriciated too.

I have a year old fixed male cat who is very well-loved and well-cared for, probably even a little spoiled :)
But there's a slight problem: he sits at the front door all day crying loudly to go outside. He only does it during the day. I can't let him out, because i live in a city and he was declawed before i got him. My other cat, a four-year-old female doesn't do it.
This has become quite a problem since i work 3rd shift and sleep during the day. Anyone have any suggestions on how i can get him to stop?
