Your vet will probably give you some instructions when you pick her up. She will probably be a little groggy for the evening but by the next day pretty much back to her old self.

The other answers are good. When you go to pick her up the vet will tell you what to do. Do what the vet says. Just watch the stitches and make sure thy don't get infected or that the surgery site is not torn open. She will scratch at the stitches because it will make her itch. And befor you take her back to have the stitches removed she may have scratched a few of them out , don't be alarmed because the vet will remove the rest.

Just follow the vet's instructions and you will be okay. Be prepared not to allow her off leash or run for awhile. You have to be careful of her stitches. Just a warning, when Sandy was spayed they put her to sleep, because of the after effects of this she shed hair like crazy during the night. I woke up to a carpet covered in dog hair. I panicked and called the vet, in some dogs it is normal.

Good for you - thank you for being a responsible pet owner!!
My recommendations would be to let her set the pace - she'll likely be tired after the surgery, so if she wants to sleep, just let her (if you have kids, be sure that they don't pester her too much). Also be careful when picking her up. Don't let her jump up on to furniture for a little while - maybe set up some steps if she's allowed on the bed or sofa?

Just do what the vet says..he/she will probably ask you to fast Diamond a few hours before the surgery so that the uterine ducts are easier to see.

Not really. Just make her comfortable .If you're really scared for her, you could call the vet that you are taking her to and ask him or her.
