depends on which tooth and the difficulty in extracting it. I work for a vet and we charge $85 to clean teeth and $14 to extract a tooth. I would also imagine that pain medication after the surgery will be offered and an antibiotic as well

Usually the biggest expense is the anaesthesia. . . and your dog will need to be unconscious for a tooth extraction.

My little dog had to have 2 teeth extracted & a "cherry eye" removed (all during the same surgery), and as I recall, it cost less than $200.

BUT, prices can vary depending on what part of the country you're in.

Prices all over the world vary, along with prices from each individual vet. Ask your dog's veteranarian. If the vet already told you that your dog needs the tooth extracted, I seriously don't undertand why they didn't at least give you an estimated cost. Call and ask today! (My cousin just had her dog's tooth extracted and it cost her $300.....Pennsylvania)

If the vet is telling you this then he should have told you what it was going to cost you to extract the tooth. When I have things done at the vets they usually tell me what things are going to cost for my shepard.

Call your vet's office and find out what it will cost. Prices for procedures vary in different areas. Your most accurate price will come from your vet, or another vet in your area.

I would expect, depending on prices in your area, 50 dollars or more, why not ask the vet that told you that?
