I have a KCS that is about 8 years old. the past week or two she has been making this funny noise. its sounds like she is choking but almost like a cough.it is not loud but a throat
sound. she sits up and puts her head foward like she is trying to remove somthing from her throat but she was not eating at the time if any thing she was sleeping (whats new she is a cav) any body know what this may be. please some advice

Does anyone out there have any idea if you can get an over the counter sedative for cats. I have a stray cat that needs to have a flea dip, but there is no way she is gonna let me do it, without her freaking out.

My mom is always rescuing the dogs that nobody else will take from the animal shelter.Now she has "rosey" a pitbull with her ears cut off so that she can fight other dogs.Rosey is the sweetest dog,probably 4 years old and was brought to the pounnd still lactating,no pups found though.She poops and pees all over the house when Mom leaves.Mom even got the carpet taken off the floor and had her wood floor refinished in hope that Rosie wouldn't be "marking a spot".Any suggestions for getting Rosie in line with a loving home would be greatly appriecated.She's was a very abused dog and my mom loves her very much.

Do you know any good ways to get a cat in a carrier. I'm supposed to take my cat to the vet this month to get booster vaccinations and a rabies vaccine but i couldnt get my cat in the carrier or the box. He's so strong; we wrestled for me to try to put him in there but not literally - there was no animal cruelty. It was hard and i even tried to get him by the scruff of the neck but that didnt work because he's so strong. It was bananas. But it must be done so i'll have to get him into the cage somehow. And it's not like he's feral and i'm trying to catch him for the first time. I think i'll get him when he's asleep.

Any suggestions for getting my cat into a carrier please...

i have a siamese house cat who has been nuetered and declawed. i found him as a stray 5 years ago so its hard to say excactly how old he is but im pretty sure its anywhere between 7 and 10 years old. my cat has always been skinny but suddenly hes dropped a lot of weight. he wont eat or drink anything and he hasnt gone to the bathroom in days. he usually screams to get my attention like most siamese do but now he just cries all the time. he seems to have a hard time walking and isn't affectionate at all (this is very odd since my cat is extremely loving and even sleeps right on my chest every night)my cats litterbox, food and water are all in my room like they've always been so he usually just stays in my room all day but hes been spending a lot of time crying in the bathrom. i know i need to bring him to a vet ASAP and i plan on doing so tomorrow but im hoping he has a treatable sickness & doesnt have to be put to sleep if anybody knows what could be wrong please let me know im so sad

shes is a 2.5lb Chipoo and she likes to sleep in my hair, I have long hair and she seems to be consuming some. I know it wont really hurt her but when it comes out the other end it makes her poop stick to her and then she freaks out and jumps into my lap with it still attached (eewwww) and i have to clean it up. I dont know when or why she is eating my hair. But I dont think i can stand her doing this very much longer. Is there a hairball remady for dogs??? you know something to make the hair disolve, instead of coming out whole. Its not like i can shave my head. but if i have to i would. anything to make this stop.

A friend of mine has a 5 week old golden lab and she was wanting to know how long she should wait before she starts training it things like sit, stay, heel, roll over, and the like. I have found information on crate training and housebreaking but not much that discusses anything else.

I love pugs, I have two, but none of my friends seem to like pugs. They say they're "fat and ugly", but my pugs are just chubby, and I think they are so completely adorable.

I've been out of the country for almost a year and Im coming back home in like two months and my fiance bought me a white german shepherd puppy, she bought it about two weeks ago and hes 8 weeks old right now, he is very attached to her and he's always with her, by the time I get home he's gonna be 4 months old and even though he's gonna have the mind of a puppy he's gonna be a giant in size he's very inteligent and I have plans to go to K9 school with him and train him as a police dog but first I got to get him to know me and love me and respect me before I start training him, how do I do that since he's so attached to her and he hasn't met me yet?
