I want a tortoise that can roam the garden and hibernate during the winter. I hear they can cost about £200. Does anyone know where I can get one for a lot cheaper?

i have a syrian hamster and it bites even though i do nothing wrong. i clean it out, i give it food and waterand a weel and i take it out by giving it the option of climbing on to my hand. then it comes off the weel, onto my hand which is outside of the cage and then he bites me. i wash my hands before handling it so they dont smell like food and ive even tried rubbing my hand in its shavings so i smell like its sorroundings and it still bites me. ive only done that 4 times but thats a tip i got from the woman at pets at home. i also had a syrian hamster before and i did exactly the same. so i took it back to pets at home but if i take another back they will think im doing something wrong. ive had other syrians before the recent 2 and they didnt bite. have you got any tips to help me with the vicius prik.

I run an environmental education center with various snakes native to our state...(South Carolina). A co-worker brought me a small snake he found in his yard... It is red and black striped. Very small...maybe seven inches. There is no yellow, so I don't think its a coral or scarlet king... any ideas?

Last week I adopted a red footed tortoise around 11 months to 1 year old.
It is 9cm x 7cm (4in x 3in). It doesn't have pyramiding.
I want it to grow normal and healthy without pyramiding.

Diet:
What kind of nutrition should it have?

It seems that like a lot lettuce almost everything that eat 85%.
fruits not to much 5%, flowers 10%. is that right?

Is there any rule of how much food should I give it. Like a cup of
salad for every inch every week...

how often should I feed it?

Maybe I haven't noticed but I read on every website that drinks a
lot of water but mine doesn't. I moist everyday the dirt.

Strange:
Sometimes when it goes to spleep it burried on the ground is that
normal?

Housing:
How big should the space for it be?
I always have to get it out of "its house" is that normal?
How much should a tortoise sleep

I have a westie that sleeps on our bed and a sliky that sleeps under the bed and a sheltie that sleeps downstairs in his bed. By the way we have 3 dog beds around the house that they nap in during the day, LOL!

This is something that she started about 4 months ago. She started using a throw rug in the bathroom and then when we moved it - she still went to it; then we put a towel down to get out of the shower on and she used that. She always balls them up when she is done, like she is covering it up. I have a throw rug in my bathroom where the litter boxes are and she does not mess with that one. She has urinated in our shoes? She is a total indoor cat - I have had her and her brother since they were kittens I rescued and they are both fixed. Help!! I'm at my wits end, I desperately need to have my carpets cleaned but don't want to do it until I can solve this problem. She tends to only go in one room of the house unless she can catch something on the floor in the bathroom or she uses the shoes. I really hate to put her O/S because she has always been an I/S cat - but............... She is an adorable cat and we dearly love her and her brother. It wouldn't be fair to toss him out.

My mare goes barefoot, but the ground where she lives isn't particularly rocky, so her hooves aren't as hard as they would be if she lived in the desert or anything. The trail we ride on is a little more rocky, and her feet begin to chip when we ride on it. So far the chiping has always been extra foot (flare and whatnot) But I'm worried about doing this 5 mile loop too often. Also I want to do some Competive trail riding (25 miles) on slightly rocky terrain. I don't want to put shoes on her unless she actually HAS a foot problem, and I was thinking about Easyboots because they would protect her feet and at the end I could take them off. (I also don't like shoes beacause they affect traction and make them more prone to slip on alot of surfaces.)

Do Easyboots work and do they stay on okay? In competive trail any hoofboots canot extend above the cornet.

My Toy poodle has had puppies before and both times she has had a breeched puppy. She is pregnant now and I want to know is there a way to remove the breeched pup so it doesn't die and/or block another pup. Plus If a puppy isn't moving when it comes out is there something else i can do other than rub it with a warm towel that i can do to keep it alive? And if you answered my ? about giving a dog human milk, i was just wondering i didn't do it. I was just asking if I couldn't get milk right away.

Apartment, 2 indoor cats, Himalayans, 16-14 yrs old. Older cat requires sub-cutaneous fluids twice weekly. In spring started pooping outside litter box after my wife cleaned litter stuck to paws. 3 alt. places: next to box (under adjacent desk), same room-other end, near front door. Still peeing in box. Why? Fixes? Thanks

It is a long stick with a hinged "hand" at the end which is activated by a trigger at the base of the stick.

I have seen these on TV, but never in person.

Plus, does anyone know where I can buy one?
