No the dogs cannot see numbers what the passenger has to do is check with the driver to make sure it is the right bus or if the passenger regularly catches that bus the driver would know to look for him, this is also how they know where to get off the bus

I do think so, though only several bus numbers.
There are many dogs that can "read numbers" (barking the number of times shown by the owghner), by simply remembering how the number looks and how many times it should bark. Because of that I think that a truly smart dog will be able to remember the number siquence that is on the bus needed, and connect it with a certain command, so after lots of hard work it will help it's blind owner find the correct bus by the owner saying the bus number out loud.
Anyway, i don't think a dog will be able to remember more than 3 bus numbers.

Of course we can! My owner is as blind as a bat. He even has me typing out the answer to your question, and does he think any more of me? Does he heck as like! Many a time Ive wanted to pack my tin of pedigree chum and walk but without me he would never get his damned bus so i guess I'm stuck. Fed up Rex!

I dont think so, the owner would ask people at the bus stop, or the driver

yes they can read numbers and roman numerals and they also watch the TV. No sorry i dont tihnk so, though guide dogs are VERY intelligent. i knew one that would open the fringe and get a beer out for its owner though once it got vinegar instead.

yes they can and they can even dial 911 on the phone. seeing eye dogs can do a hole lot of things that people can do.
