It is a long stick with a hinged "hand" at the end which is activated by a trigger at the base of the stick.

I have seen these on TV, but never in person.

Plus, does anyone know where I can buy one?

snake hooks areu used but have a bend, no "hand"
its most likley a grapser.

they make simaler ones for trash picking or mobility impaird.

but i dont sugest you go out trying to catch snakes unless you have been traned to do it right.

its called the snake cathing stick thingy or u could just use ur hands but u better be quick or have a alot of antivenom in ur medicin cabinet
