I found a huge brown mantis in my neighbors plant's. So i decided to keep it. I want it to be happy so I need to give it a name. It's beena week now. My friend suggests Shao Lin (though i hate that name) cuz he kept on moving his hands back and forth and was rolling around in his cage. What should I name him though?

I have a 3 and a half month old puppy and i was wondering if she could get used to fireworks? i don't want her to be a afraid at halloween or new years celebrations. Would it be a good idea to bring her to a fireworks display?

I live in a perfect neighborhood and no dogs live around me but i get really scared at night and my mom wont let him in the house because she does not like animals she will let him in when it gets really cold but where i live the temp. is only about 80.

I got a 1 yr old cat from the shelter yesterday, he was in a cage pretty much all his life. He is hiding, and refusing food and water. I am worried how long he can go without water before he will be sick?

Up to now we just left him hiding and hoped he would come out eventually. We put food and water out last night in the room he is hiding, but he hasn't touched either. Any help/advise?

okay, now that i know the turtle was laying eggs, how long will it be before they hatch and can i build something around them to protect them so nothing will kill them when they dig their way out of the hole?

she barely eats ( only nibbles on her food takes a few bites then leaves it) . shes veyr lazy is sleeping all the time , and isnt as playful with me as she used to be , im really worried she used to be a naughty girl and now she seems tired all the time. im really worried i called my vet he said shes hitting puberty and thats normal , i convinced my vet to get a blood test done tommorrow . shes had all her shots and was healthy.plz help

I know this sounds like a dumb question. I have an indoor cat and 2 ferrets. I'm trying to identify a flea. I know that they cannot fly. I saw 2 small things jumping rapidly around on the floor. I thought that they might be fleas.....UNTIL..... I saw one on the ceiling jumping down and back up on the ceiling. And NO, I'm not on drugs. If it's not a flea......WHAT IS IT??????

I'v always heard that cats have 9 lives. My friends tell me that their cat fell of a building 9 times, but by the 10th, they die.
Is this idea technecally true, or a myth?
And if it is true, why is it?

I just got my puppy from a rescue she is 6 weeks old and i will take her out side and she will go to the bathroom but whenshe gets right in side she goes the the bathroom we are out side for a half hour bu she still goes

i had a turtle in my yard and it dug a hole, sat over the hole and then covered the hole and placed leaves ontop and left, entire process took about 24 hours that i noticed was the turtle laying eggs?
