Get her to a DIFFERENT vet, YOUR PUPPY IS SICK!
Look.. puppies sleep a lot.. but they are playful when awake and full of energy and they scarf their food. She could be depressed but it's hard to believe that any six month old healthy puppy could be that depressed. Your vet is out of her gourd to think that a puppy hitting puberty will sleep all the time and not eat well. NOPE...

Go to the vet tomorrow and have them look at the dog. There could be something wrong with her. And then talk about SPAYING!!!! The world has WAY too many cockers already!!!! Although the vet may disagree, since they are a vets favorite breed!!!! Enough medical problems to keep them going!!!

I had a similar proble with my cocker, Lily. It's great your having a blood test done because that will pinpoint a specific problem. In Lily's case her thyroid was malfunctioning, which is a common occurence in cocker spaniels. It's expensive to diagnose, but once you know the problem it doesn't cost much to treat. It only requires a daily pill to regulate the thyroid function.
Good luck.

Sounds like your little girl is coming into season.
When they come into season, their moods change, appetite, and energy. It is just like when a female gets her menstral..the hormones get all out of whack. If all blood tests were fine,I would just wait and see in a week or so how she does.If she is going into season-she should start getting affectionate-because she wants to be bred. Her season period should last about 2-3 weeks.Once done, she should be back to normal.
Also note:they do go through the "adolescence" period-like a teenager does and that causes them to be moody and change too.
Good luck-I have one that is approaching that period.

No it's not normal. My puppy never "hit puberty" like that. She is sick if she is not eating. You need to get her taken care of.
