For one, keeping your 'bunny' outside is not cruel. The outdoors is a natural environment for your rabbit - they love it outside! There's nothing wrong with him living out there year round providing his pen has sufficient shelter from the elements. I had rabbits as a child growing up in Ontario - they were never allowed in the house. My dad built a 'pen' out in the yard out of wood and chicken wire. They had a big 'outside run', a smaller enclosed 'play area' where we kept their food bowls and water bottle and a small (also enclosed) sleeping area that was big enough for them to move around in but small enough to heat up with their body heat. So, as long as you're smart about it and keep your rabbit in a cage made for outside, there's nothing wrong with your bunny living out there.

O.k, leaving a bunny rabbit outside is a bit odd and maybe mean to do, but look on the bright side, at least you won't have to worry about neighborhood dogs eating it.

There are alot of things that will kill your bunny besides a dog, even a racoon, or wild dog, or a cat will attempt to kill your precious little bunny, so Id say sneak it in and keep it safe, also you can cook a rabbit at temps around 90 so Id watch that to.. I love eating bunny

Think about this: would you want to be outside in the heat with a fur coat on? Not likely. Outside for a domestic rabbit is not natural. It was breed out of them years ago. Rabbits enoy being supervised outside during the day.
If you can't bring your rabbit inside you should consider finding an indoor home for it. I know you love your bun but it's not fair to be stuck outside like that. Your rabbit is subject to heat stroke, hypothermia, flystrike, other predators like raccoons, cats, mean people, birds... Contact a local HRS chapter to find a new home.

dogs aren't the only threat. Hawks, owls see a free buffet. There's many other threats than just dogs. I've never seen or heard of any neighborhood that had no dogs around. There's almost every area I've been in has roaming dogs or feral dogs.
Heat is a bigger threat than cold btw.

Cats LOVE rabbit. We had some rabbits in an outdoor hutch when I was a kid. Cats would come and try to claw them through the cage. They scream like women. If your rabbit gets into trouble, you'll know.

Well try and get a pet carrier for your rabbit and sneak it in and keep it in your closet with the door part way open for it to breath and check on it.

buy a cage two times his size, put a towel or a blanket and a few carrots, open the door and leave it open throughout the whole night.
