The adult dog is not good with kids but is friendly toward adults. The puppy has been here two days and has been kept in a crate as well as in a room closed off from the adult dog. The only encounter so far is the puppy was in the crate and the older dog was sniffing him from outside the cage. Everything was find until the puppy picked up a toy in his crate. The adult dog barked all of a sudden and lunged toward the crate...at which time I corrected the adult dog. The adult dog is rather spoiled. He is a loving dog but he has been the only dog for 10 years. He feels all of the toys in the house are his. At one time he snapped at an older child who picked up one of his toys. Help! I want them to like each other....or at least accept each other. I realize it is going to take time...and I am willing to be patient. Won't the adult dog eventually get used to him being here? Has anyone else had the same experience..and can give some good advice? I greatly appreciate and advise.

My cat is about 6 months old and she has not been spayed yet. Yesterday she started biting my blanket, pawing at it with her front paws and sticking her butt in the air at the same time. And all last night she kept waking me by sitting next to my face and rubbing her face on mine. I have never seen her do this before. Is she going into heat for the first time or is she just acting crazy?

Also my cockatiels never had fertille eggs. And i was hoping something might make her fertille so she can have little ones of her own. She would be amazing mother! My mother in law just got a new puppy "CODY" a Dalmatian lab mix. He is a great dog and always enjoys my company. The weird thing is that whenever I come to visit as soon as I see him and pet him, he starts urinating wherever he is???? He doesn't do it for his owners when they come home from work, doesn't do it when my wife comes for a visit. I am the only person it happens to. Is he just excited to see me??

It's not a border collie. It's a full breed collie.

Because of the swelling in his back, his back legs are buckling under and semi-dragging. The vet put him on steroids to get the swelling to go down, but it will be 3 or 4 days before we know if he will be able to walk normally again. Has anyone ever had this happen? If so, was your cat able to walk again?

My Shitz su got loose while I had my bird out and grabbed all of her tail-feathers in one mouthfull and pulled them all out. It bled a little and stressed her out alot, and she doesn't have one tail-feather left. I was wondering if anyone knows if they will grow back at all?

My dual registered Amstaff has always has a fliud pocket on his hip, the vet said it is just fliud and is probably herediatry, (which I learned later was because his mother has one and that is what ended her show career) a few weeks ago I noticed a small pinky nail size ball in his front leg, it is sort of hard and moves a bit, last night I found another one under his chest near his front leg bigger about the size of a ping pong ball and softer. he does not let on that they hurt but I am afraid it might be cancer, he is alot of white. I plan on taking him to the vet but wanted to see if anyone may have had the same thing before happen to their dogs?

I've heard my friend's chihuahua talking in an ugly voice. It was kinda cool and smart for a dog. I don't think it is the same way to train a parrot to talk is it? How do you teach a dog to talk? (serious answers)
